J.l. was born on november 17, 1920 in darlington, MO, son of loren and lucy (Thompson) Toombs. J.l. graduated from darlington high school. he then served in the army air corps during world war ii. he worked as an appliance repairman for sears. after his retirement, he continued to work in the appliance repair business. he was a member of the sears’ retiree’s club and strong Tower church. he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marja roberts and lily lane. Joseph, where she resided her entire life. she was a graduate of central high school and a homemaker.
