(includes an AKC recording fee of $3.50 for the first entry and $3.00 for each additional
entry of the same dog). Please make checks payable to Pals and Paws Inc. There will
be a $40 fee for returned checks. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry.
Incomplete, illegible and unsigned entries will not be accepted. Online entries will not be
accepted at this trial.
Running Order:
Check-in begins at 7:00 AM on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Measuring will be
at the judge’s discretion.
Let the gate steward know as early as possible prior to your run
if you anticipate a conflict and efforts will be made to accommodate you.

Handlers may opt to run in a higher height division in Regular Classes, but not in a
division lower than their proper height division. Dogs that run in a height lower than their
proper division in the regular classes will be eliminated. In the Preferred Classes, Dogs

As a competitor, you have 1
or 2, maybe 3-4 entries to complete. The Trial Secretary
has over 250 entries to read. Please be considerate and
write clearly and legibly, check your math, indicate the
Handler, check the correct boxes, etc.
Entries that are
incomplete, incorrect or unreadable will be returned to you.
NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS
VALIDITY OF ENTRY FORM : The instructions for submitting an application state that including the sire,
dam and breeder are required if known. AKC is taking the position that information is known in the case of dogs
with AKC registration numbers, and thus is required for the entry to be valid.
TRIAL SITE: The trial site is an indoor arena with packed dirt ring surfaces. Each ring is 100’ x 100’. The
arena has permanent bleachers & indoor restrooms. There is ample space in the arena to set up crates
There is also space available outside the arena if you chose to set up a tent.
FOOD: There will be a food vendor at the trial site.
ELIGIBILITY: This trial is open to all dogs over the age of 15 months that are registered with the American
Kennel Club, or that have obtained AKC Limited Registration, Indefinite Listing Privileges (ILP), or Approved
FSS Breeds, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, blind or deaf dogs, or dogs suffering from any
deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. Refer to Chapter 2 of the
Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. Dogs under 6
months of age are prohibited at AKC Agility Trials.
PRIZES & AWARDS: Rosettes or flat placement ribbons will be awarded to 1st – 4th places in each jump height
in each class. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to all receiving a qualifying score. Dogs must qualify to
receive placement ribbons. Each dog entered will get a toy valued at $2.00. Any dog that finishes a title will
receive a special rosette. A MACH bar will be awarded for teams earning their MACH at these trials. PLEASE
let us know, in advance, if there is a chance your team will be earning a MACH this weekend! Contact
the Trial Chairpersons.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:.
Pinch/prong collars and electric collars (dummy or not) are prohibited on the trial grounds.
Single copies of the latest edition of “Rules for Agility Trials” and “Rules Applying to Registration and Dog
Shows” may be obtained from the American Kennel Club. Electronic timers will be used at this trial.
COURSE FAMILIARIZATION AND WARM UP: A walk-through period will be held prior to each class,
following the judge’s briefing. The walk-through is restricted to handlers entered in that class. A warm-up
area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, shall be provided for all exhibitors.
OBSTACLES: All obstacles will meet the specifications for obstacles in the current Regs of Agility Trials.
VENDOR INFORMATION: Vendors are welcome at our trial. The vendor fee is $75 for the weekend if
using electric. $25 for no electric. Vendor fees must be paid on the first day of the trial. For further
information, please contact the trial chairpersons.
SAFETY AT THE SHOW SITE: The safety of the dogs is of primary importance. By entering this trial,
exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport and that their dogs are
familiar with and able to perform all of the obstacles safely. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone
are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dog and/or children create
unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior, may, at the discretion of the
Trial Committee, be asked to leave the show site. There will be no refund of entry fees if a person is asked to
leave the trial site. Dogs must be kept on leash except when in the ring or the designated warm-up area.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and
external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.
EVENT CANCELLATION: Pals and Paws Inc. reserves the right to cancel all or any portion of this trial. No
entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an
act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing
committee.
REFUNDS: Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred
from competition by action of the Trial Committee. Pals and Paws Inc. has no obligation to refund duplicate
entries. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed for any reason beyond the
control of the organizing committee.
Bitches in season are not permitted in the Trial. For bitches that come into season after the closing date, a
refund will be made, less $5.00. Written notification to claim this refund must be received by the Secretary
before the start of the trial.
MOVE UPS: For Thursday, dogs may be moved up to a higher class at the written request of the owner, as a
result of qualifying for an agility title, provided that the request is made to the Trial Secretary in writing (e-mail is
accepted) no later than 6:00 PM on the Monday before the trial. Requests made after that time will NOT be
accommodated.
E-mail move-ups will not be official unless acknowledged by the Trial Secretary. Dogs so moved up will
be entered at the end of the running order. For Saturday and Sunday, requests for move ups must be made
in writing to the Trial Secretary prior to the close of the previous days’ events.
SET UP: No crate set up will be permitted on Wednesday until the rings have been squared and the
equipment has been unloaded.
