Dear colleagues,
The 13th Annual World Congress of the Human Proteome organized by the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO), the 7th EuPA annual conference and the 6th Spanish Proteomics Society Congress will be
held in Madrid, Spain, October 5 to 8 of 2014.
It is our great pleasure to invite you, on behalf of the HUPO Council, the Exec Committee and the Council
Members of the geographic regions of HUPO, to participate in the largest congress of the Human Proteome.
HUPO is a renowned organization of clinicians and scientists in biotechnology, genetics, oncology and
more... striving to promote proteome research and improve new technologies worldwide for the treatment of many diseases.
The theme of the congress is “The proteome quest to understand biology and disease”, with emphasis
on the presentation of new research findings, innovations and stimulating discussions of the opportunities for future international collaboration and achievement in our field.
HUPO 2014 is expected to be the largest HUPO Congress
with approximately more than 2,000 participants.
The remarkable success of the HUPO series of congresses is evident from the progressive increase in
the number of participants with more than 68 countries represented.
This success is due to the uniqueness of these conferences, their quality and atmosphere. We believe
that there is no other meeting in the world that presents such a high level of science in an extremely

ABOUT SEProt
One of the principal goals of the Spanish Proteomics Society is to contribute to the spreading of proteomics within the scientific community and in the whole society.This is to be done
by encouraging scientific and technical research in the field of Proteomics, by promoting training, learning and formation in this field, and by sponsoring and facilitating the organization and/
or participation of their members in national or international activities, courses, workshops and
meetings and any kind of cooperation and interchange with other societies. The major activity
of SEProt is the organization of a national congress, which currently takes place once every two
years, and is usually being held conjointly with other international societies and institutions. SEProt also sponsors the Jornadas Bienales para Jóvenes Investigadores en Proteómica (Biennial
Workshops for Young Proteomics Researchers), which are completely organized by the younger members of the society in the years alternating the congress. The society also publishes a
journal, called “Proteómica”, containing scientific and technical articles, reports and reviews and
other useful information, and provides grants and fellowships to support attendance to meetings, workshops and other scientific activities.

For the Satellite Symposium sessions, the following apply:
• Satellite sessions are offered to industry for commercial/promotional session and are allocated on a
“first-come, first-served” basis.
• Supporting companies are free to choose topics, invite speakers, and control content. However, topic
and program are subject to approval by the scientific committee.
• In cases where the congress chairs does not approve the Satellite Symposium program, each party will
be entitled to cancel the Satellite Symposium booking without paying any penalty for the cancellation or for
any damages caused by the cancellation to the other party. Accordingly upon such cancellation, neither of
the parties will have any claims, demands or suits towards the other.
• The company, in addition to the support fee, must cover all speaker expenses, including registration fees,
accommodation and travel expenses. This also applies in the case where the speakers have already been
invited by the event organisers.
• Satellite sessions will be indicated in the programme as: “Satellite session organised by: Company Name”.
• Sessions programmes and abstracts will be included in the industry Sponsor and Exhibition Section of
the final Programme (subject to receipt by publishing deadline)

a topic to a small audience of participants (up to 60).

GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS OF EXHIBITION
Allocation Of Exhibition Space
Space Allocation will be made on a “first come, first served” basis. A completed Exhibition Booking Form
and Contract should be faxed / emailed to ensure reservation of a desired location. Upon receipt of the
Exhibition Booking Form and Contract, space will be confirmed and an invoice will be mailed. Please note
that three alternative choices should be clearly indicated on the application form. Space allocations will be
made in the order in which application forms with payment are received.
Exhibitor Registration
All exhibitors are required to be registered and will receive a badge displaying the exhibiting company name.
Two exhibitor badges will be given 3 for the first 9 sqm booked and one additional 2 for each 9 sqm after.
Any additional exhibitors will be charged an exhibitor registration fee of 150€. Companies can purchase a
maximum number of exhibitor registrations as follows:
Exhibitor registrations allow access to the exhibition area only and shall be used by company staff only.
An exhibitor registration form will be included in the Exhibitor’s Manual.
Exhibitors’ Technical Manual
An Exhibitors’ Technical Manual outlining all technical aspects of exhibiting will be circulated 2 months prior
to the HUPO 2014 Congress. It will include the following:

venue directly to arrange this.
Exhibitor Profile
Upon receipt of the booking form, you will be asked to please upload a 100-word Exhibitor Company/
Product profile to a provided link. This will be published in the list of exhibitors in the Industry Support and
Exhibition section of the Program.
Exhibition Terms & Conditions
The Terms and Conditions of exhibiting are included in this Prospectus. Please note that signing of the
EXHIBITION BOOKING FORM AND CONTRACT indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The
Exhibition Booking Form will be held as a valid liable contract, by which both parties will be bound.
Further details will be included in the Exhibition Technical Manual.

CONTRACTS & CONFIRMATION
SUPPORTERS
Once a Support Booking Form is received a contract will be sent to you for signature with an
accompanying invoice. This contract should be signed and returned with a 60% deposit payment to the
Supporter. Upon receipt of the Supporter Booking Form the organiser will reserve the items listed in it.
Completion of the Booking Form by the Supporter shall be considered as a commitment to purchase the
items.
EXHIBITORS
Once an Exhibition Booking Form is received a confirmation of exhibition will be mailed to you with an
accompanying invoice.
