If you want to recognise a deserving police officer, PCSO, member of police staff,
special constable or community member, you can do so by filling in the form overleaf.
Anyone can nominate and full details of the 10 categories can be seen below. In
addition a special ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ will be presented to a shortlisted
finalist during the award ceremony.
Working In Partnership
This award recognises an individual or team who have
worked in partnership with others to solve a
challenging problem in an area of crime, business
admin or policing process. This can be either an
internal partner (e.g. another department) or external
(council or business etc.)
Community Engagement
This award will go to an individual or team who have
worked with local people to ensure their ideas and
joint work contributed to positive changes within the
community.
Excellence In Service Delivery
Awarded to an individual or team who provides / has
provided a high quality professional service that has
helped to increase confidence and satisfaction.
Driving Diversity
This award will be given to an individual or team who
has worked to promote equality of opportunity and /
or tackled discrimination.
Creativity And Innovation
Awarded to an individual or team who has
demonstrated innovative or creative ways of working.
The third annual West Midlands Police Diamond Awards
celebration will be held in March 2015, and we need
your help to identify individuals and teams who over the
last year, have made a significant contribution to make
the West Midlands a safer place to live, work and visit.
Over the last decade, the force, together with its
partners and the local community has continued to
reduce crime to unprecedented levels.
Behind this success is a dedicated team of officers and
staff who continually achieve and deliver a service that
their friends and family would be proud of.

Inspirational Leadership
The recipient of this award will have demonstrated
outstanding leadership skills, inspiring others to
achieve.
Putting The Public First
This award aims to identify an individual or team who
has acted above and beyond the call of duty to put the
public first.
Team Of The Year
This award will be given to the team or department
who have worked together to demonstrate the power
and effectiveness of successful teamwork.
Employee Of The Year
(Four awards - Police Officer, Special Constable,
PCSO, Police Staff)
The Employee Of The Year Award recognises
outstanding service by individuals, over and above
what is required as part of that person’s normal duties.
Community ‘Thank You’ Award
Awarded to an individual or group who have worked
with police, providing assistance through local
initiatives such as watch or community groups etc.
The Diamond Awards aim to allow officers, staff,
partners and the wider community to recognise and
reward West Midlands Police employees who have
acted ‘above and beyond the call of duty’.
Therefore, if you know an individual or a team who
deserves to be recognised - whether it be for a fantastic
piece of work or for a long standing community initiative
- this is your chance to show them they are valued.
