CHARLOTTE COUNTY
SR 776 over Myakka River (El Jobean Bridge): Maintenance project: Motorists should
expect the eastbound inside lane to be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, October 13
for crews to repair bridge rail damaged in a vehicle accident. Drivers should use caution
as crews work in the roadway.
US 41 from Chamberlain Boulevard to Stratford Drive: Maintenance permit project: Crews
will be building a driveway connection. Motorists can expect the outside southbound
lane to be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. for this work. Drivers should use caution
while crews work near the roadway.
US 41 from Gardner Drive to Harbor Boulevard: Maintenance permit project: Motorists
should expect shoulder and sidewalk closures for crews to make drainage improvements.
Drivers should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
COLLIER COUNTY
SR 29 from Santa Rosa Avenue to Immokalee Drive: Maintenance permit project: Crews are
connecting a driveway and installing underground utilities. Drivers should use caution
while crews work near the roadway.
SR 29 north of Farm Worker Way: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect the
northbound lane to be closed for crews to repair underground utilities. Drivers should
use caution as crews work in the roadway.
CR 31/Airport Pulling Road at North Horseshoe Drive: Construction project: Work
continues to replace traffic signals and illuminated street signs, install a traffic separator,
and resurface the intersection. Work occurs during daytime and nighttime hours.
Motorists should expect lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6
a.m. Crews are widening the roadway. Drivers should use caution traveling in this area.
Estimated completion is spring 2015. The contractor is Wright Construction Group.
US 41 from Catalina Drive to Lakewood Boulevard: Maintenance permit project: Motorists
should expect the westbound lane to be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for crews to install
culvert pipe. Drivers should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
US 41 (Tamiami Trail East) from SR 951 to Greenway Road: Construction project: Crews
continue work to expand two-lane US 41 to six lanes from SR 951 to Joseph Lane and to
four lanes from Joseph Lane to Greenway Road. A 30-foot median will separate
northbound and southbound travel lanes. The project also includes a 10-foot multi-use
pathway along southbound travel lanes and a six-foot sidewalk parallel to northbound
lanes. Median openings spaced throughout the project allow for left turns and U-turns.
Crews also replace the traffic signal at Manatee Road. Crews are currently relocating
utilities, constructing culverts, installing underground storm drainage, and working on the
bridge over Henderson Creek. Motorists should be aware of construction vehicles and
equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The contractor expects to complete work by
fall 2016. The design/build team is Wantman Group Inc./Ajax Paving Industries of
Florida, LLC.
US 41 from Rattlesnake Hammock Road to Guilford Road: Maintenance permit project:
Motorists should expect the outside northbound lane to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. weekdays for crews to install concrete utility poles. Drivers should use caution and
expect slow moving traffic.
Andrew Drive from US 41 to Caledonia Avenue and Francis Avenue from Shadowlawn
Drive to Pineland Street: Construction project: Crews will build sidewalk, install curb
and gutter, signs, and pavement markings as well as make drainage improvements to
manage water running off the roadway. Work begins Wednesday, October 15 to place
construction signs and erosion control devices and to start clearing the area for the
sidewalk on Andrew Drive. Estimated project completion is early 2015. The contractor
is Marquee Development.
US 41/9th Street North from 7th Street North to Orchid Drive: Construction project: Crews
add landscaping in the median and decorative brick pavers in areas along the project.
Work occurs during daytime and nighttime hours. Motorists should expect the inside
northbound and southbound lanes to be closed during nighttime/overnight hours from 7
p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers should use caution as crews work in this area. Estimated
completion is spring 2015. The contractor is Wright Construction Group.
US 41 from Immokalee Road to 109th Avenue North: Maintenance permit project: Motorists
should expect the southbound outside lane to be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for crews
to repave the bike lane. Drivers should use caution while crews work near the roadway.
DESOTO COUNTY
East Oak Street from Brevard Avenue (US 17) to Volusia Avenue and Volusia Avenue
from East Oak Street to East Magnolia Street (SR 70 eastbound): Construction
project: Crews have closed Volusia Avenue at Magnolia Street (SR 70) while they install
a new drainage system beneath the roadway. Follow the posted detour. Local access
remains open to the real estate office and Chamber of Commerce from East Oak Street.
On-street parking on Volusia Avenue, between East Oak Street and the Chamber of
Commerce is now open, but remains closed from the Chamber of Commerce to Magnolia
Street. This project includes resurfacing, reconstructing curb at the intersection of
Volusia Avenue and Magnolia Street, repairing sidewalk and making them ADA
compliant. Estimated completion is end of 2014. The contractor is Bun Construction
Company.
US 17 between Flanders Street and Joshua Creek: Maintenance contract project: Crews are
working on driveways along the roadway. No lane closures are anticipated but motorists
should be aware of trucks entering and exiting the highway.
US 17 from south of SW Collins Street in Fort Ogden to County Road 760A south of
Nocatee: Construction project: Work is underway to expand US 17 to four lanes. Work
includes clearing land for two new travel lanes to the east of the existing US 17 travel
lanes and drainage activities. Motorists should be aware of work vehicles entering and
exiting the roadway during the week. Motorists should also observe the posted speed
limit and drive with caution. Expected project completion is end of 2015. The contractor
is Ajax Paving.
SR 70 Westbound (West Hickory Street) from North Lee Avenue to North Orange
Avenue: Construction project: SR 70 (West Hickory Street) has been reduced from two
westbound lanes to one westbound lane between North Manatee Avenue and North Lee
Avenue. North Lee Avenue, North Dade Avenue and North Manatee Avenue are closed
at SR 70 (West Hickory Street). Use West Walnut Street as a detour. The closure is
necessary while crews install a new water main. Motorists should use caution and watch
for changes in the traffic pattern. This project includes installing underground utilities
beneath the roadway, removing and replacing asphalt and curbs, replacing driveway
entrances, repairing sidewalk and adding detectable warning surfaces at the side streets.
Estimated completion is end of 2014. The contractor is Bun Construction Company.
GLADES COUNTY
Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST Trail) from north of the Herbert Hoover Dike
Bridge to the bridge east of CR 721: Construction project: Improvements under this
contract include enhancement to the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST) with
construction of a 10-foot asphalt shared use path, two-foot shoulders, signs and pavement
markings. No lane closures are expected; however, use caution as trucks enter and exit
SR 78 near the Lake Port area. Estimated completion is spring 2015. The contractor is
Lawrence Lynch Corp.
SR 78 from US 27 to Harney Pond Canal: Maintenance permit project: Crews are replacing
poles along the roadway. Motorists should expect intermittent daytime lane closures from
8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should use
caution as crews work near the roadway.
US 27 from Bronson Road to the city of Moore Haven: Maintenance contract project: Crews
will be replacing pipe culverts during daytime hours Monday through Friday. Drivers
should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
SR 78 in the town of Buckhead Ridge: Maintenance project: Crews will be trimming weeds
near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday. Motorists should use
caution as crews work near the roadway.
HARDEE COUNTY
SR 64 from Pear Street to east of Cracker Trail (Zolfo Springs): Construction project:
Traffic on SR 64, just east of US 17, remains shifted slightly south while crews remove
the temporary asphalt, pave and paint new stripes on the new roadway. Use caution, and
watch for changes in the traffic pattern, including periodic lane closures with flaggers
directing traffic. This is a drainage improvement project, which includes changing the
elevation of the roadway in places. It also includes building a gravity wall to support the
new roadway, installing new curb, gutters and guardrail and paving. Weather permitting;
expect project completion by the end of the month. Ajax Paving Industries LLC is the
contractor on this project.
HENDRY COUNTY
SR 80 from Birchwood Parkway to Dalton Lane: Construction project: Crews expand five
miles of existing roadway from two lanes to four lanes. All lanes are open to
traffic. Expect intermittent lane closures. Motorists should use caution and watch for
trucks entering and exiting the roadway throughout the project. Expected completion is
fall 2014. The contractor is C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc.
SR 29 from Cowboy Way to G Road: Maintenance permit project: Crews are replacing light
poles from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
SR 29 from F Road to Helms Road: Maintenance project: Workers are cleaning the ditch along
the west side of the roadway, Monday through Thursday. No lane closures expected.
Drivers should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
HIGHLANDS COUNTY
US-27 from US-98 to College Drive: Maintenance Project: Crews are reworking shoulders
along both sides of the road. Use caution and watch for workers close to the road.
US 27 from Highlands Avenue to Sebring Parkway: Maintenance project: Crews will be
shaping the ditches and shoulders from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays.
No lane closures are scheduled, but use caution and watch for trucks and equipment
entering and leaving the highway.
LEE COUNTY
Lee County Traffic Management System (TMS): Construction project: Work continues to
install fiber optics communications cable and transmission equipment, closed-circuit
television cameras, and roadside sensors at 61 intersections. Crews are testing and
revising data communications between existing ITS components and the Lee County
traffic operations center, beginning subsystem testing of new devices and completing
pedestrian upgrades. Pay attention, stay alert and use caution in the work zone. Estimated
project completion is early 2015. The contractor is Traffic Control Devices, Inc.
I-75 -- Airport Direct Connect from south of the Alico Road interchange (#128) to south of
the Daniels Parkway interchange (#131): Construction project: Work continues to
build a direct connection from I-75 to the Southwest Florida International Airport. The
job adds new lanes parallel to I-75 from south of the Alico Road interchange to Daniels
Parkway interchange. The contractor is building two bridges, over I-75 and Treeline
Avenue/Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, connecting the interstate to the airport.
Motorists should use caution when entering I-75 northbound from Alico Road.
Temporarily, there is a shorter merge length than what drivers are used to.
The new southbound exit ramp to Alico Road is now open. Southbound motorists
traveling to Alico Road now exit about a mile south of Daniels Parkway, follow the lane
parallel to the interstate under the new Direct Connect bridge and continue down the
ramp to Alico Road. The exit number remains #128. FDOT urges caution as drivers
adjust to the newly located exit ramp.
Work along I-75:

Motorists traveling northbound on I-75 to Alico Road (exit #128) should expect
the off-ramp closed during the nighttime/overnight hours from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Sunday, October 12 and Monday, October 13 for crews to pave the new ramp.
To access Alico Road from I-75, motorists can exit to the east at Corkscrew Road
(exit #123), travel north on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway to Alico Road.

Motorists should expect lane closures on I-75 during the nighttime/overnight hours
from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. These closures allow crews to widen the roadway and continue
work on roadway signs. Motorists should be aware of slow moving traffic and
possible delays.

During daytime hours crews are constructing the new northbound exit to Alico Road
and new lanes parallel to the interstate, installing sign foundations, and installing
guardrail throughout the project. Motorists should be aware of construction vehicles
and equipment entering/exiting I-75, Ben Hill Griffin Parkway/Treeline Avenue near
the airport entrance, Terminal Access Road, and Alico Road.
Work at Southwest Florida International Airport entrance:

Motorists should expect periodic nighttime/overnight lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5
a.m. on Treeline Avenue/Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and entering/exiting the airport
along Terminal Access Road for crews to work on the barrier wall and build the
retaining wall for the new bridge from I-75. Drivers should use caution
entering/exiting the airport as the contractor has shifted lanes through this
intersection.
PLEASE DRIVE WITH CARE. Variable message boards notify motorists of
lane/roadway closures. Estimated project completion is spring 2015. The design/build
contractor is Stantec/Prince.
I-75 at Colonial Boulevard: Maintenance contract project: Crews will close the outside lane of
the southbound entrance ramp to I-75 during the nighttime/overnight hours of 9 p.m. to 5
a.m. to repair damaged asphalt. Motorists should use caution as crews work in this area.
I-75 from north of SR 80 to south of SR 78: Construction project: This project expands I-75
adding new travel lanes, transition lanes and shoulders. Bridge crews continue work on
beam placement and decking. Motorists will encounter northbound and southbound lane
closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday October 13 to Thursday October 16. Pay attention
to traffic signs and barricades throughout the construction project, stay alert, and use
caution in the work zone. A reduced 60 MPH speed limit is posted throughout the project
limits. Speeding fines are doubled when workers are present. Estimated completion is fall
2015. The contractor is The de Moya Group/Leware Construction Company Joint
Venture.
US 41 from Collier county line to Corkscrew Road: Maintenance project: Crews are
replacing sod along the roadway during daytime hours. Motorists should use caution
while workers are near the travel lanes.
US 41 from Sanibel Boulevard to Shadow Creek: Permit project: Crews are expanding a
driveway on the eastside of the road and will be working in the shoulder. Motorists
should use caution as crews work near the travel lanes.
US 41 from Littleton Road to the Charlotte County line: Construction project: The job
resurfaces the roadway from Business 41 to the Charlotte County line, builds drainage
improvements, installs street lighting at intersections and adds bicycle lanes. Project also
constructs sidewalk on the west side of US 41 from Littleton Road to south of Del Prado
Parkway.

During daytime hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. motorists can expect lane closures from
north of Del Prado Boulevard to the Charlotte County line for crews to widen
the shoulders, weather permitting.

During the nighttime/overnight hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. crews will pave the
roadway. Motorists should expect lane closures throughout the project, weather
permitting.
Work also includes resurfacing driveways, building sidewalk, and working in the
intersections of US 41 at Business 41, Gran Via/Trail Dairy Circle and Lake
Fairways/Tara Boulevard. Drivers should use caution as crews work in this area.
Estimated project completion is end of 2014. The contractor is Ajax Paving Industries of
Florida, LLC.
SR 739/Metro Parkway from Crystal Drive to Landing View: Maintenance project: Crews
will be digging ditches along the roadway. Motorists can expect lane closures during
daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers should use caution as crews work near the
roadway.
SR 739/Metro Parkway from Winkler Avenue to Hanson Street: Construction project: Work
is underway to expand Metro Parkway to six lanes, expand one-half mile of Evans
Avenue just south of Hanson Street to three lanes northbound, and build a new six-lane
Metro Parkway bridge that crosses over the railroad tracks, Ten Mile Canal, and Palm
Avenue. The roadway will connect to Evans Avenue and Fowler Street and also include
lanes for southbound Fowler Street drivers who may choose to use Metro Parkway
southbound. Work currently involves roadway and bridge construction and drainage
installation.
 Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during nighttime/overnight
hours on Metro Parkway between Warehouse Road and Winkler Avenue.
Motorists are advised to use caution and to be aware of trucks entering and leaving the
roadway. The contractor expects to complete work in fall 2015. The contractor is
Conalvias USA.
SR 739/Business 41 bridge over Caloosahatchee River: Maintenance project: Crews will be
resurfacing bridge approaches and departures.
Motorists should expect
nighttime/overnight lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
Drivers should use caution as crews work in the roadway.
SR 739/Business 41 from Littleton Road to US 41: Construction project: Work continues to
expand Business 41 to four lanes from Littleton Road to US 41. Crews will build two
new 11-foot lanes in each direction separated by a 44-foot grass median. The project also
adds highway lighting, sidewalk, and bike lanes and builds a new drainage system to
manage water running off the roadway.

Laurel Road is reduced to one westbound lane for both left and right turns onto
Business 41 and one eastbound lane.

With the exception of the Laurel Road intersection, Business 41 travel lanes are
split to allow crews to work in the median. Some median crossovers are closed
for this work. Motorists use the outside lanes of the roadway and make U-turns
at alternative locations.
The roadway will remain in this configuration through fall 2014. Motorists exiting
driveways and side streets should use caution as traffic is now closer to the outside of the
corridor. Bus stops are available on Business 41, but some have been relocated to allow
the contractor to build the new roadway. Current work includes reconstructing the Laurel
Road intersection, paving the new lanes, installing drainage structures, placing
embankment and installing street lighting and sidewalk at various locations along the
project. Businesses and residences will have access throughout the project. FDOT
advises pedestrians that sidewalk closures and detours are possible in some areas and the
pedestrian crossing at Laurel Drive is operational. Motorists should look out for
pedestrians and bicyclists along Business 41, obey flagging operations, observe posted
speed limits and drive with caution in the construction zones. Expected completion is
spring 2015. The contractor is Wright Construction Group.
SR 82/Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard from Evans Avenue to I-75: Maintenance
project: Crews are replacing striping on both sides of the roadway during
nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., weekdays only. No lane closures are
expected. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
SR 80/Palm Beach Boulevard from Seaboard Street to I-75: Maintenance project: Motorists
should expect the outside lanes closed during the nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m.
to 6 a.m. for crews to work on drainage. Drivers should use caution as crews work in the
roadway.
SR 80/Palm Beach Boulevard from Seaboard Street to Prospect Avenue: Maintenance
permit project: Motorists should expect the inside lanes to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3
p.m. weekdays for crews to landscape. Lighted arrow boards will direct motorists to
open travel lanes. Drivers should expect slow moving traffic.
SR 78 from Santa Barbara Boulevard to Nicholas Parkway: Maintenance contract project:
Crews are paving turn lanes. Motorists should expect lane closures during the
nighttime/overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers should
use caution while crews work in the roadway overnight.
SR 78/Pine Island Road from west of Burnt Store Road to west of Chiquita Boulevard:
Construction project: Work is nearly completed. New lanes are paved and include fourfoot paved bike lanes. Roadside swales and two new stormwater ponds are in use. Drivers
are using four lanes (two lanes eastbound and two lanes westbound) with intermittent
lane closures from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for median and shoulder work. Motorists are
reminded to use caution traveling throughout the work zone as well as when entering and
exiting the roadway. The contractor is Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC.
MANATEE COUNTY
I-75 Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Satellite Traffic Management Center:
Construction project: Continuing the 60 Day Burn-In phase for fiber optics
communications cable and transmission equipment, closed-circuit television cameras, and
roadside sensors along 56 miles of I-75 from the Sarasota/Manatee County line
(University Parkway) to the I-275 interchange in Manatee County (near mile marker
228). During the week of Sunday, October 12, 2014, the contractor will continue the
burn-in period for ITS devices on northbound and southbound I-75 between mile markers
213 and 228. The contractor will be completing the installation of concrete aprons around
pull boxes. Motorists should anticipate shoulder closures for this work. Use caution while
traveling through construction zones. Scheduled completion is fall 2014. The contractor
is World Fiber Technologies, Inc.
US 41 at Moccasin Wallow Road: US 41 at Moccasin Wallow Road: Construction project:
Crews continue paving and installing signalization equipment and light poles at US
41/Moccasin Wallow Road. Lane closures are in place during the day Monday, October
13 through Friday, October 17. The right turn lanes on northbound and southbound US 41
will close from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and alternating through lanes will close from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. FDOT anticipates the lane closures to be in place through October. Work on this
project includes new signals and signal back plates, extended turn lanes, new pedestrian
features and upgrades to meet current ADA standards, addition of bike lanes at the right
turn lanes, roadway lighting at the intersection, and pavement markings. Motorists should
use caution and watch for construction workers in the construction zone. Project
completion is expected late 2014. The contractor is Traffic Control Devices, Inc.
US 41 at Orlando Avenue: Maintenance permit project: Crews are working on Orlando
Avenue. The southbound left turn lane to eastbound US 41 will close through Friday,
October 24. The right turn lane from US 41 to eastbound Orlando Avenue will also close
during this time. Motorists should follow the detour route and plan additional travel time.
US 41/BUS 41 at 9th Avenue West: Maintenance permit project: Crews for the City of
Bradenton are performing utility work. 9th Avenue West between US 41 and Business US
41 will close through Tuesday, November 11. Use caution.
SR 789/Gulf Drive from SR 684 to 28th Street: Maintenance permit project: Crews are
replacing a power pole. Motorists should expect northbound lane closures from 9 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. through Friday, October 17.
SR 684/Cortez Road at the Cortez Bridge from east of Gulf Drive to west of 127 th Street
West: Construction project: Crews will install an intercom system at the bridge house
and will work on the bridge beams and fender wall. FDOT urges motorists to exercise
caution during the repair work. Motorists should note that driving across the bridge will
feel bumpy due to the crews jacking (lifting) the bridge to remove and replace the bridge
expansion bearings. Bridge jacking will occur until mid-November 2014. Work on this
project includes general maintenance and repairs to the bridge span, beams, piling,
seawall, and bridge tender house. Quinn Construction, Inc. is the contractor on this
project. Expected completion is winter 2014/early 2015.
SR 684 from 103rd Street to 119th Street: Maintenance permit project: Crews are replacing
power poles. The outside eastbound lane will close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday,
October 17. Motorists should use caution while in the area and expect possible delays.
SR 70 from US 41 to 15th Street East: Construction project: Crews are resurfacing the
roadway, improving drainage and working on the signals. Nighttime lane closures occur
from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. Superior Asphalt, Inc. is the contractor. Expected
completion is spring 2015.
SR 70 (53rd Avenue) from 15th Street East to US 301: Maintenance contract project: Crews are
inspecting and repairing drainage pipes. Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound
and westbound outside nighttime/overnight lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through
the end of December, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution while in the area
and expect possible delays.
SR 70 at US 41: Maintenance permit project: Crews are pulling cable across the roadway.
Expect nighttime eastbound right lane closures from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday,
October 21 and Wednesday, October 22. Use caution.
SR 64 at Bayside Church: Maintenance permit project: Eastbound and westbound lane closures
occur from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, October 17 while crews are working.
Motorists should use caution and expect possible delays.
SR 64 from the Manatee River to Dam Road: Maintenance permit project: Crews are working
on power lines. Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound and westbound lane
closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, October 17. Use caution and expect
possible delays.
OKEECHOBEE COUNTY
US 441 from CR 68E to NE 312th Street: Maintenance contract project: Crews are working on
roadway shoulders close to the road. Use caution when traveling in the area.
US 441 (North Parrot Avenue) from 290th Trail to NW 344th Street: Maintenance project:
Crews will repair concrete mitered end sections. There are no planned lane closures, but
use caution and watch for workers close to the road.
US 98 from SR 70 to CR 68 (NW 160th Street): Maintenance project: Crews will be repairing
roadway shoulders. There are no planned lane closures, but use caution and watch for
workers close to the road.
SR 70 from NW/SW 4th Avenue to NE/SE 3rd Avenue: Construction project: This project

will pave the westbound middle lane, leaving only one lane open to traffic. Use caution,

I-4/SR 559 Interchange (Auburndale): Construction project: Watch for flaggers directing

I-75 Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Satellite Traffic Management Center:
Construction Project: Continuing the 60 Day Burn-In phase for fiber optics
communications cable and transmission equipment, closed-circuit television cameras, and
roadside sensors along 56 miles of I-75 from the Charlotte/Sarasota County line (near
mile marker 172) to the Sarasota/Manatee County line (University Parkway/near mile
marker 213). During the week of Sunday, October 12, 2014, the contractor will continue
the burn-in period for ITS devices northbound and southbound I-75 between mile
markers 172 and 213. The contractor will be completing the installation of concrete
aprons around pull boxes. Motorists should anticipate shoulder closures for this work.

I-75: From Sumter Boulevard to River Road: Construction project: This project expands I-75
to six lanes. Crews are performing earthwork activities, installing drainage and placing

between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for installation of temporary striping, weather permitting. Pay

US 41 at SR 789: Maintenance permit project: The sidewalk located along the west side of US
41 from SR 789 to Ritz Carlton Drive and sidewalk located along the north side of SR
789 from Sunset Drive to US 41 will remain closed until construction of the development
located at the corner of US 41 and SR 789 is complete. Pedestrians should follow the
established detour.
US 41 from Marcia Street to Baywood Drive and from Reynolds Road to Gulf Gate Drive:
Construction project: Crews are resurfacing the roadway, installing highway lighting,
constructing sidewalk and making drainage improvements. Nighttime/overnight lane
