Projects being completed by NDDOT, Ward County and private contractors may not be on this list. All Dates are estimates and some projects are scheduled to go beyond the date of this report. In addition, there will always be several small pockets of construction and maintenance throughout the city, so residents are urged to give themselves extra travel time during the entire construction season. Paving contractors as well as city crews are working throughout all areas of town patching potholes and areas of broken pavement. Use caution when approaching these and any other construction projects. City sweeping crews are still in the process of street sweeping throughout the city. Use caution when approaching or passing the street sweeping equipment. Woodside Development Pavement reconstruction will occur the next 2 weeks on 11th Street SE (between 31st Avenue SE and 33rd Avenue SE), 12th Street SE (between 31st Avenue SE and 34th Avenue SE), 15th Street SE (between 31st Avenue SE and 34th Avenue SE and south of 34th Street SE), and 31st Ave Street SE (at the Willow Lane intersection). Valley gutter construction will occur at the intersection of 34th Ave SE and 15th St SE and at the intersection of 31st Ave SE and Woodside Drive. These locations will be closed to through traffic and will last approximately 2 weeks. The contractor will accommodate the impacted residents to the best of their ability. Traffic Signal Upgrade Project Over the next few weeks, several intersections will be involved in a signal upgrade project. Be aware of lane closures and workers in the area. Work that requires signals to be dark will be taking place in the evening hours, so motorists are advised to use extreme caution. Stop signs will most likely be in place, but motorists are reminded that at dark intersections, state law requires all vehicles to come to a complete stop before proceeding through the intersection. . Information will be provided to media as work proceeds at specific intersections. 21st Avenue NW Work continues on the 21st Avenue NW project. Work has moved to the area west of 16th St., and the area east is currently undergoing paving. Please allow for extra time through the area, and be cautious of workers in the area, as well as temporary detours. This project is for utility improvements as well as traffic control signal going in to the 21st Avenue / 16th Street Intersection. 6th Street SW 6th Street SW has been opened temporarily. Several “punch-list” details are being completed, so please be mindful of construction crews in the area. Residents should also note that there will be concrete panels being replaced between Central Avenue and 2nd Avenue either this fall or in the spring. The roadway will be closed for a short period of time when that construction takes place. Western Avenue will remain closed from 6th Street until the lift station is completed in 2015. Continued… 55th Street 55th Street SE will be closed between 11th Avenue and 16th Avenue SE for the force main gravity sewer project. This project is expected to wrap up within the next few weeks. 16th Avenue SE 16th Avenue SE will be closed between 46th Street and 55th Street SE through the fall as part of the ongoing construction in the area. Watch for traffic control signs. Downtown Minot Work continues on the downtown parking structures, and motorists are advised to use extreme caution and be on the lookout for pedestrians. Plan for extra travel time throughout the downtown area. Detour and parking/no parking signs are in place. 37th Avenue SE 37th Avenue SE is closed from Main St to 13th Street SE. as work continues. Access for residents in the area will be maintained. 16th Street SW 16th Street SW remains closed to through traffic between 47th Avenue and 52nd Avenue. Crystal Springs access is from the south. ###
