I would like to start off by thanking everyone that worked so hard to put on a great week of fundraising for John Nadeau’s family. What a great turnout at each event and a great time was enjoyed by all! Thank you everyone for this great event, whether you helped out personally or simply came and supported by participating. It is a true testament to who we are as an Aerie and how much we can accomplish when we work together! We now have a full slate of officers with the addition of Cheri Daily and Tony Salas as trustees! Working with Sally Sparhawk, John Moyle and Ruth Eisler, we now have a strong group of trustees and we can expect great things from this team! With Football season upon us, we already have some folks stepping up and providing football food on Sunday’s! Be sure to come down and enjoy the games or pitch in and help! These events are about more than football; we are raising money for our various charities and enjoying fellowship with our Eagle Brother and Sisters at the same time! GO BRONCOS! I wish everyone well and look forward to a great fall and don’t forget that we have the annual Kids For Christmas event coming up. Cheri Daily will be looking for your help in putting on this wonderful event! One last note, I continue to call out to everyone to please come out and help with Bingo! I cannot stress enough how very important Bingo is to our Aerie! We have a small core team that work bingo but they NEED HELP! They volunteer their time every week! We are simply requesting folks to step up one day a month! Please consider doing this and helping relieve those that give so much! As I asked when I first took office, if EVERY member (Aerie and Auxiliary) would volunteer one day a month (that is over 500 folks), we would be able to accomplish some outstanding things! ~Letter from your Madam President Alice Crego ~ Auxiliary Officers Jr. Past Madam President Chris Nowak Madam President Alice Crego Madam Vice President Shelley Smith Madam Chaplain Nancy Webb Madam Conductor Brenda Long Madam Secretary Mary Ellen Snyder Hello Sisters and Brothers, I am so proud and happy that we are stepping up to cook meals. People helping People are what we are all about. Let’s stop the bad chatter behind each others’ back. It is very uncalled for. We all have good and bad in us so please just remember that. We all have had good meals, entertainment and Bingo this month of September. It was so nice to hear someone won the bingo pot who can really use it, and it supports the club. Give a bit pat on the back for the bartenders. They work hard and put up with a lot. Glad to see our popcorn popper is back to normal. So please be gentle with it and take care of it. It makes great popcorn. Glad to see our Aerie President Steve Traini up and around from his heart procedure - he is such a good asset to our club. And by the way, a big thank you to Nancy Traini and Evelyn Fenley for getting out the bulletin. And to Stella Nash, Sue Nash, Brenda Long, Nancy Webb, Kathy Warmuth and myself for all the work on Friday meals, and the music by Linda Young on the 5th - Everyone was shaking a leg. Well done! The kids Halloween party will be coming up—we need goodies. We always need bulletin folders so please come in and fold, laugh and tell stories. We would like to thank all of our members and guest who supported our meals and functions from September 6th – 12th for John Nadeau. It was a great team effort by many volunteers. Since John Amis changed his meal from the Kids for Christmas Charity to help John Nadeau, Paul Suksi stepped up and matched what John’s record-breaking meal did for Kids for Christmas. He felt we shouldn’t miss a chance to help the children even though we were helping one of our own. Thanks Paul!
