Specialty Camp
A variety of offerings for campers entering 3rd-9th grade
The Specialty Camps are for older children who are able to handle longer classes
and more intensive experiences. Campers participate in the area of endeavor for
the entire week(s). There are both full and half-day Specialty Camp offerings as
well as Early Birds and Milk and Cookies before and after camp. If a camper is
signed up for two half-day Specialty Camps, a supervised lunch time from 11:3012:00 is provided at no additional charge. Campers must bring their own lunch.

Registration
Once you have completed your online registration, you will receive a confirmation
via e-mail that your order was received. You will have the option to pay for camp
in full or pay a $50 non-refundable deposit per camp plus material fees. If you
need to make changes to your camp order, see the policy on the Stanley British
Primary School website.
The balance of tuition, including Early Birds and Milk and Cookies, is due by May
1, 2014. If a credit card was used for the deposit, and we have not received an
alternate form of payment prior to May 1, 2014, we will charge the balance to that
card.

Babysitting 101 ages 11-15 as required by Red Cross (Heather
Graesser) Learn all you need to know to be a family's dream
babysitter. Babysitting is a great way to earn money and it's
important to be prepared for all the adventures you may
encounter. During this camp, you will receive the 7-hour Red
Cross babysitter certification course. Then, take what you have
learned from the Red Cross, as well as the expertise from a young
mom, and create your babysitting portfolio! Each day will focus
on a different age group and you will create a portfolio of
activities to entertain kids. In addition, you will role play various
babysitting scenarios and create a resume and flyer. This is a
great opportunity to prepare for a summer of babysitting. $50
materials fee (certification included).

a downtown favorite! Paint fun, original landscapes on canvas,
but don't forget your dancing shoes! Our favorite songs will play
in the background while we dance and paint through our

Iron Chef 3rd-9th (Karin McLean) Don your chef's hat, grab
your spatula! Campers will team up and face off against one
another in this challenging , yet fun culinary camp, using given
ingredients, suggested recipes and creativity to make dishes with
their own signature flair. Bon Appetit! $25 materials fee.
The Voice 3rd-7th (Kathy Muller) Channel
your
inner
rock
star!
This
week
you
will
be
learning
your
favorite
pop
songs,
singing
karaoke,
practicing
stage
presence
and
choreographing
your
songs
for
the
final
performance
on
Friday.

The Candymakers Camp 3rd-8th (Katie Boston) If you have a
sweet tooth then this is the camp for you! We will be visiting a
candy factory, learning about how candy is made and most
importantly we will be making our own candy! We will be
making many different types of candy that you can take home
with you! $25 materials fee.
Pet Sitting 101 ages 11-15 (Heather Graesser) Do you want to
earn some extra money? Learn how to care for furry friends by
attending this camp. Red Cross will certify campers in Pet First
Aid. Learn how to recognize an emergency, treat common
problems, administer pet medication, administer pet CPR, and
stock a pet first aid kit. After being certified, campers will create
resumes, make business cards and posters, role play and make
some delicious pet treats. $50 materials fee (includes certification).
Jewelry Club 3rd-8th (Karin McLean) Let it shine! Let it
sparkle! In this class, you will be designing and making your own
fun jewelry and accessories using a wide variety of beads and
stringing materials. Let out your inner Diva and create a look
that's unique to you. All tools and materials will be provided, but
if you have any of your own beading tools, feel free to bring them
in a bag with your name on it. Weather and time permitting, we
will also include pool time, so bring a swimsuit. $25 materials fee.
Upper 90 Soccer 3rd-8th (Peter Druck) Take your child’s game
to the next level!! Upper 90 Soccer focuses on building the young
athlete's fitness, character and soccer game.
Combining soccer training with character lessons, Upper 90
instructors focus on physical development and skills (such as
warm-up and stretching, balance, coordination, and agility, ball
control and dribbling, cutting and 1 v 1 moves, passing and
trapping, and shooting and goal scoring), social development
(such as
passion for the game, self-confidence, teamwork and cooperation,
following directions, healthy lifestyle habits) and character
building (such as honesty, fair play, respect, self-control, positive
attitude, kindness, work ethic, perseverance). No material fee.

SESSION 1 - FULL DAY
Hogwarts 3rd-6th (Jane Hile) Ever wish you could be a student
at Hogwarts? Now is your chance! The magic begins the moment
you receive your letter of acceptance. Visit Hogsmeade and
Gringotts so you can shop for supplies. Finally, you'll arrive at the
Great Hall for a sorting ceremony and the fun really begins.
Classes will include: Potions, Herbology, Arithmancy, Astronomy,
History of Magic, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, and of
course, Quidditch. We will repeat some favorite activities from
past years as well as encounter new magical adventures. Four
prefect spots will be available each session for returning campers
entering 7th -9th grades. Let the magic begin! Instructors:

Seaside Fun 3rd-9th (Mike Wasylenky and David Marais) Don't
you wish you could spend your summer by the sea frolicking in
the waves or walking the pier enjoying the many sweet treats?
Here is your opportunity! In this full day adventure, campers will
have the opportunity to spend time at many of Denver's premier
water parks. In addition, campers will venture to a couple of local
candy makers and have an opportunity to make their own
delectable treats. This camp combines the best of both worlds:
Willy Wonka's candy factory and a wet and wild setting! $50
materials fee.
Skateboardingl 3rd-8th (Art Gluck) Calling on riders of all

Aren't you curious to see what it would be like to do all of the
things your mom won't let you do? Well, all of those things
should be done! Have ice cream for breakfast. Have giant water
balloon fights. Build dry ice bombs and have ice cream sundae
relay races. Play video games all morning or watch the whole Star
Wars saga. Go paint balling with all of your friends. And spend
the day climbing walls. Spend some of your time swimming right
after you eat. Crazy, I know. Do we need to learn anything new?
Nah, only if it is fun to do. Campers, come spend the week with
the fun parent. $20 materials fee.
levels! Grab your skateboard and join us for a fun-filled action
packed week of skateboarding. Whether you are new to the sport
or are on your way to this summer's X-Games, you will enjoy
yourself as we make our way to five of the Denver areas most
exciting skate parks. We will work on new tricks, master old ones,
and learn about skate park etiquette in a safe and supportive
environment. We will also use video analysis and photography to
improve our skills. (Skateboards and helmets required) $25
materials fee.
Jewelry Making Workshop 3rd-8th (Candice Kiesow) During
this week we will explore many aspects of jewelry making and
bead stringing. Choose from a large variety of beads and baubles
with all the findings you need to finish your own creations. We'll
work with metal clay to make a one-of-a-kind charm from bronze
clay. Make your own beads and pendants with polymer clay as
well. You will be "bead-dazzled" at all the wonderful jewelry you
will make! $25 materials fee.
So You Think You Can Dance Camp 3rd-8th (Angie Martyn,
ridiculously awesome Lego robots! We'll learn how to make carbots, battle-bots, animal-bots, grabber-bots, friend-bots, enemybots, and many more! Let your imagination run wild as you
create your own, specially-designed robots and program them to
do your bidding. Choose to have your creations learn to battle
other robots or fetch you a snack. If you love Legos and robots,
this is definitely the camp for you! $10 materials fee.
Sabrina Umbaugh and Special "Guest Judges") SYTYCD Camp is
back! Last year's was a total blast and we are back with an even
better week of dancing for Summer at Stanley 2013. This dance
intensive includes technique classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz,
hip hop, salsa, and swing dancing. Students will get the
opportunity to learn original choreography and create their own
choreography to perform for their fellow dancers, and our guest
"judges"! The format of the camp mimics the format of the popular
TV show. Dancers will also get to perform in a larger production
at the end of the week. $15 materials fee.
(**Note: This year there will be 3 weeks of SYTYCD Camp.
Students may sign up for one week, or 2, or 3... each week there
will be new dances taught, and new guest judges, so that each
week of the camp will compliment the other weeks and camps can
be done individually or in conjunction with each other.**)

Hartmann) Calling all extreme campers! It's that time again to
come out for another fun filled three weeks of non-stop action
with Extreme Fun. Excitement will be lurking around every
corner. Six Flags, Elitch Gardens, Extreme Challenge, Jump Street,
Laser Quest, Apex, Alpine Slide, and much much more! School is
out and now it's time to play! $50 materials fee.

Lego Robots 3rd-8th (Nat Oliver) Build and program
Cooking Secrets from Exotic Places 3rd-8th
(Stephanie Collins) The world is full of fascinating places that
offer delectable cuisine. This camp offers children the experience
of learning about these exotic places and cooking the recipes from
around the world. Each day we will focus on one country and
explore their culture through cooking traditional dishes. We will
also venture off campus to learn about cooking at local
restaurants. At the end of the week, your child will come home
with their very own recipe book so they can teach the entire
family! $25 materials fee.
SESSION 2 - PM ONLY
Movies, Cartoons, and Comics 3rd-8th (Nat Oliver) Do you
love watching movies and cartoons and reading comic books? Do
you like to draw or want to become a better illustrator? You can
do all these things and more in this class. We’ll watch some
fantastic animated movies for inspiration, read some comic books,
and learn to write and draw our own stories. This will be a fun
and relaxing class where you can let your imagination run wild
and hone your artistic talents. Material Fee $10.
Ultimate Frisbee and Flag Football 3rd-8th (JH Sava) Join
JH Sava for an afternoon of building Frisbee skills and playing
Flag Football. Learn the skills needed to play Ultimate Frisbee
with your friends and use similar skills to play Flag Football. For
those of you who don’t know how to play Ultimate Frisbee the
game is played between two teams of seven players on a large
rectangular pitch. A line drawn across the pitch at either end
creates two "endzones" (like Football). These are the goal-scoring
areas. A goal is scored when a team completes a pass to a player
standing (or more likely running) in the endzone. Ask your
friends to join because the more players you have the more fun it
is. Material Fee $25.
My Space 3rd-6th (Ashleigh
Dudley) Make your room the
space you love most. We will spend the week making everything
you need to make your room your personal paradise. From light
fixtures and doorbells to personalized nameplate and pieces of art,
your room will be the coolest on the block. Brought to you by
Ashleigh Dudley (Prof. Sprout of Hogwarts). Material fee $25.

Crafternoons 3rd-8th (Ashleigh Dudley) Afternoons get crafty!
Spend the afternoons with every craft you can imagine. Lots of
glue, glitter, paint and creativity. By the end of the week you will
be a true crafter with a collection of crafty masterpieces to show
for it. Come ready to Keep Calm and Craft On. Brought to you by
Ashleigh Dudley (Prof. Sprout of Hogwarts). Material fee $25.
For the Love of Art 3rd-8th (Candice Kiesow) For the budding
artist, we will explore different art media this week. Some of the
projects will include: painting, printing, shrinking & sewing art.
We'll see where our love of art takes us on this journey exploring
the many fun aspects of making art. $25 materials fee.
SESSION 2 - FULL DAY
Leisure Games 3rd-9th (Mike Wasylenky) Come join us for a
week of friendly competition in a variety of fun leisurely pursuits.
We will spend the week bowling, mini-putting, swimming, and
playing a variety of board and video games. We will go to a water
park, spend time at Nickel-a-Play, and enjoy the sun while
playing yard games. Come test yourself against the masters of
leisure. $50 materials fee.
Extreme Fun Action Week 3rd-8th (Donna Meallet and Sig
Hartmann) Calling all extreme campers! It's that time again to
come out for another fun filled three weeks of non-stop action
with Extreme Fun. Excitement will be lurking around every

How It's Made 3rd-8th (Katie Boston) Do you ever wonder
how money is made or how glass is blown? If so, come join us on
tours around the area! We will be visiting some amazing places
such a glass blowing studio, a frisbee factory, the mint and a tshirt shop along with a few other places around the city!! Come
join us in finding out how things are made and how things work!!
$45 materials fee.
Alpinegirl! 5th-8th (Mich Cotton and Allyson Levy) It's summer
and it's Colorado! There is no better way to kick it off than going
on a girls-only backpacking trip. Lead by two experienced
outdoorswomen, we will be learning about basic wilderness first
aide, leave no trace, wilderness cooking, outdoor yoga, and
navigation. We will spend the first two days preparing, getting to
know each other, and spend a total of two nights in the woods.
Dependant on snowfall, we will be backpacking in the Indian
Peaks Wilderness. $50 materials fee.
*Note: The tuition for this camp is $500. The campers will be in
the wilderness from Wednesday-Friday.
What Would Happen If... 3rd-9th (Jon Gottesfeld and Stephanie
Bender) This camp is all about the thrill of experimentation,
making huge messes and not getting in trouble for it. We will play
games, create concoctions, make edible treats, produce toys and
much, much more. $40 materials fee.

Kerry's Bakery 3rd-6th (Kerry Dickman) Join this Jersey girl
with her own version of "Cake Boss!" We'll design, bake, build,
and decorate our own creative, individual cakes to be displayed
and of course, eaten! $25 materials fee.
World Cup Soccer 3rd-7th (Allyson Levy) Had your fill of
American "football’? Come celebrate the true meaning of futbol.
The World Cup is back!!! EAT, DRINK, BREATH, LIVE and
WATCH World Cup Soccer. Come watch countries unite in Brazil
and engage in the most intense awesome soccer match-up this
side of the universe. Not only will we watch the games, but we’ll
create our own mini World Cup: forming teams, playing matches,
making jerseys, chanting cheers, and so much more. $10 Material
fee.
Mystery at Stanley 3rd-8th (Stephanie Collins) Imagine you're
an investigator and you come across a crime scene just moments
after arriving at camp. The mystery is so deep that you'll spend a
week unraveling the mind-bending clues. The evidence will be
baffling and intriguing. You will use forensic experiments to find
the answers to the mystery. This is one mystery that you'll look
forward to exploring every day. If you have participated in our
mystery camps before, don't worry, because each year we explore
different engaging mysteries. Totally new for 2014! $25 materials
fee.
Pirates, Mermaids and More! 3rd-6th (Julie Miles) Ahoy
Mates, Avast Landlubbers, All Hands on Deck----Pirates,
Mermaids and hidden treasure await you! We will create mini
skits, engage in creative drama, delve into literature and, of
course, create art projects themed around Pirates, Mermaids and
More while we search for buried treasures, explore, play and
create during this week long Summer at Stanley Camp! $15

SESSION 3 - PM ONLY
Crazy Cupcakes! 3rd-8th (Kerry Dickman) Have fun this
summer decorating cupcakes! Learn how to create duck
cupcakes, as well as owls and space aliens, and lots more! We'll
create a new design everyday- and then enjoy eating them! $25
materials fee.
Stanley Series of Poker 3rd-8th (Stephanie Collins and Tim
Collins) America's great and historic pastime is back and even
better! For this one of a kind camp, Stephanie will be accompanied
by a semi-professional poker player. Each day you will learn to
play different forms of poker including Hold 'em, Stud, and Draw.
You will amaze your friends and family with chip handling tricks
and shuffling techniques. After so much fun, you'll experience
even more as you cool off at the swimming pool. Prizes will be
awarded to all participants. $25 materials fee.
Boxes, Boxes Galore 3rd-8th (Allyson Levy) We will be
building magnificent structures out of boxes! From caterpillar
homes to forts to tables and chairs, the opportunities are endless!

Scrapbooking Camp 3rd-8th (Paige Romer)
Preserve your
favorite memories and get crafty with scrapbooking! Learn
different techniques for displaying your photos and memories,
and come home at the end of the week with a beautiful scrapbook!

Stanleywood's Fabulous Flicks 3rd-8th (Ted McLean )
Movie buff? Like to read reviews? Escape the mid-summer heat
as we cool off in various Denver theaters and view a wide variety
of age appropriate movies. Using an interdisciplinary approach,
we will compare various genres through discussion, art and
writing. The writing component of the class will emphasize
compare/contrast writing and the use of specific details to create
fluent reviews. Through the course of the week, students will also
create, direct and edit their own films. $50 materials fee.
Shutterbugs! 4th-8th (Art Gluck) Welcome photographers of
all levels! Have you ever wondered what makes a photo great?
Ever use a pinhole camera? Come learn composition, depth of
field and angles. But we won't stop there. How about still lifes?
Black and White? Architecture? People? Action? Grab your
camera or borrow one of ours, hop on the bus and let's go explore
Denver! We will spend the day taking pictures. At the end of the
day, we will download our images and learn how to use the
magic of iPhoto to build our own photo album as well as the art
and chemistry of the conventional darkroom. We will also print
and mat our favorite images for an end of camp gallery show. $50
materials fee.

Survivor: Summer at Stanley 3rd-8th (Mich Cotton) Could
you survive in the wilderness? Based on the popular TV show,
here is your chance to learn the basic skills to survive in the
outdoors. Each day, we will spend time learning about and

It all comes down to knowing the rivers, streams and lakes that
you fish. We will take a close look at the ecology of the streams
that we fish through the eyes of a "fly fisher person." We will get a
better understanding of which bugs the fish eat so that we can
catch fish later on. This is ecology with the purpose of fishing!
Days will be spent both at Stanley and on a number of local lakes
and rivers. Our time at Stanley will be spent refining our casting
skills, as well as tying flies and wrapping rods. Grab your rod and
join us to develop a new, relaxing hobby filled with skill and

Babysitting 101 ages 11-15 as required by Red Cross (Heather
Greasser) Learn all you need to know to be a family's dream
babysitter. Babysitting is a great way to earn money and it's
important to be prepared for all the adventures you may
encounter. During this camp, you will receive the 7-hour Red
Cross babysitter certification course. Then, take what you have
learned from the Red Cross, as well as the expertise from a young
mom, and create your babysitting portfolio! Each day will focus
on a different age group and you will create a portfolio of
activities to entertain kids. In addition, you will role play various
babysitting scenarios and create a resume and flyer. This is a
great opportunity to prepare for a summer of babysitting. $50

Spa-tastic 3rd-8th (Jen Seiberling) Kick back and relax in this
retreat-like morning class. Learn what common ingredients can
be used for facial treatments; give and receive manis and pedis;
become a mixologist and create aromatherapeutic lotions; create
healthy spa treats like infused waters and smoothies, and even
practice some yoga and meditation. $20 materials fee.
Out of This World Improv 3rd-6th (Jacky Marino) Can Harry
Potter use The Force? What happens when Yoda meets Gollum?
How long does it take Princess Leia to get ready for her date with
the Hulk? Discover the outcome to these scenarios and more in
Out of this World Improv! This performance based camp will
draw inspiration from our favorite fantasy stories and films. Using
our bodies, voices, imaginations (and The Force when necessary);
we will create characters, build scenes and invent whole worlds
together. We will conclude our Sci-Fi adventures with a Thursday

MIT-developed computer programming language for children.
They will learn to use Scratch from any computer in the world,
publish their games to the web, and create a Scratch page on the
web to share their games with parents, siblings, and friends. This

Tinfoil Computers 3rd-8th (Myers Learning) This one-week
camp is a playful introduction to computer programming for kids
who love to design and build their own contraptions. Participants
use a programming language called Scratch to create animations
and games, and then use cardboard, wire, tinfoil, and tape to
build physical contraptions to control them. Each student will
have their own laptop and a mini-computer called a Scratch
Sensor Board that is full of switches and sensors that react to
electricity, light, and touch. Students will find that with a little
creativity and collaboration, tinfoil and computers really do mix.
No computer experience required. This camp is designed for girls
and boys, artists and engineers – for all who like to invent, create,

cemetery, the sights of the skyline from the very top of the library,
the interesting people on the bus and much more! We'll even taste

SESSION 7 - FULL DAY
Back Packing with JH 5th-8th (JH Sava and crew) This camp
will be on campus for the first two days and off campus
backpacking for the last three days. Ages will be 5th grade
through 8th grade. There is a beauty that only people that get out
on trail get to see and feel. The wild flowers blooming, a beautiful
sunset in the mountains and the chill of the morning air. Come
join JH for a three day back packing trip into the Summit County
wilderness. Minimal experience is necessary. We will spend
Monday and Tuesday planning and learning the skills needed to
go on a successful back packing trip. We will learn how to set a
tent, pack a back pack, start a stove and prepare food after a long
day of hiking. We will learn to make sure that our water is clean
and that we have enough to have energy. The goal will be to go
from point to point while hiking in a safe way. Group gear will be
provided and other equipment can be provided for those in need.
The schedule of the week will go as follows; first two days of the
week will be spent preparing for the trip, learning the essentials to
have a successful trip. Wed, Thurs and Friday will be spent on
trail coming back by Friday afternoon. $50 materials fee.

Dangerous Boys and Daring Girls 3rd-8th (Matt Barber)
There are some skills that every kid should know… put down the
iPad and learn spy skills, knot tying, tripwires, codes and ciphers,
tree house design, map and compass use, magic tricks, periscope
building, skipping stones, eating bugs, the worlds best paper
airplane, stage combat, building rockets and much more. Material

Girls Only! 3rd-8th (Ashleigh Dudley) Spend the days doing
everything girls love. We will make everything from nail polish
and lipgloss to ice cream and pizza. Manicures, chick-flicks, girly
board games, cooking and crafting! Basically a week-long slumber
party of girl stuff galore, without having to sleep on the floor!

Seaside Fun 3rd-9th (Mike Wasylenky and David Marais) Don't
you wish you could spend your summer by the sea frolicking in
the waves or walking the pier enjoying the many sweet treats?
Here is your opportunity! In this full day adventure, campers will
have the opportunity to spend time at many of Denver's premier
water parks. In addition, campers will venture to a couple of local
candy makers and have an opportunity to make their own
delectable treats. This camp combines the best of both worlds:
Willy Wonka's candy factory and a wet and wild setting! $50
materials fee.
James and the Giant Peach Theater Production 3rd-9th
(Jacky Marino) It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No- It’s a flying magical
peach! Roald Dahl's story comes hilariously to life in this
delightful play that follows James Henry Trotter, an imprisoned
boy who stumbles upon some magical crocodile tongues that lead
him to insect friends and a not so peachy journey to the Empire
State Building. This classic tale will fulfill the fantasy of anyone
who is looking for a summer theatrical adventure. James and the
Giant Peach will give performers the opportunity to take on roles
like the bubbly Ladybug, sassy Miss Spider, sophisticated Old
Green Grasshopper, and the horribly rotten Aunt Spiker and Aunt
Sponge. We will collaborate as an ensemble to create an entire
theatrical experience of sets, costumes and props and bring this
giant peach production flying through the theater! $50 material
fee.

Stanley's Got Talent! 3rd-5th (Brittany McKenna) Join us for
the most exciting talent show around! Whether it be singing,
dancing, magic tricks, juggling, or video making, we will help you
fine-tune your talents in Stanley's Got Talent! $25 materials fee.
Top Chef 3rd-8th (Kathy Muller) Do you enjoy eating food? Do
you enjoy cooking? Join us for a culinary experience with a little
bit of competition. We will be creating delicious meals, while
learning important cooking techniques. Using the popular
television show as our inspiration, students will start each day
with a “quick fire” challenge, helping them to learn a technique,
and they will then move into creating culinary masterpieces.
Learn how to cook and prepare delicious food in a fun setting.
Material fee $25.
Myth Busters 5th-9th (Katie Boston) Explore science the
Mythbusters way! Do you wonder why toast always seems to
land butter side down or perhaps how a Newton’s law “an object
at rest stays at rest” actually works in the real world? Come test
your theories and find out if certain myths are “Busted,”
“Plausible,” or “Confirmed.” We will go through the process that
the Mythbusters do (Wonder, Research, Guess, Test, Discover,
Results and Share). Material fee $25.
Tinfoil Computers 3rd-8th (Myers Learning) This one-week
camp is a playful introduction to computer programming for kids
who love to design and build their own contraptions. Participants
use a programming language called Scratch to create animations
and games, and then use cardboard, wire, tinfoil, and tape to
build physical contraptions to control them. Each student will
have their own laptop and a mini-computer called a Scratch
Sensor Board that is full of switches and sensors that react to
electricity, light, and touch. Students will find that with a little
creativity and collaboration, tinfoil and computers really do mix.
No computer experience required. This camp is designed for girls
and boys, artists and engineers – for all who like to invent, create,
build and share. Materials fee: $25.
SESSION 8 - PM ONLY
Tiny Town 3rd-8th (Katie Boston) Do you like miniature
things? Well, if you do, then this camp is for you! We will be
building our own miniature town. You can build a mini
schoolhouse, a candy shop, a pet store, a library or whatever other
tiny creation you can think up! At the end of the week you will be
able to take your creations home with you. $40 materials fee.
Stanley Comic Con 3rd-6th (Kathy Muller) Use your artistic
skills to create comic strips and graphic stories. We will use
inspiration from famous comics to learn how to design and
develop characters and stories. Campers will read comic books
and graphic novels and will use specific drawing techniques to
create their own comic book stories. Celebrate creativity and story
telling by joining us for Stanley Comic Con. Material fee $25.
Soothing Spa and Rockin' Relaxation 3rd-5th (Brittany
McKenna) After a long morning at camp, who doesn't want to
unwind with the latest and greatest in relaxation techniques? With
nail art, aromatherapy, massage therapy, reflexology, and more,
this camp is sure to keep you feeling happy, healthy, and at peace!
$25 materials fee.
SESSION 8 - FULL DAY
Write Around Denver 3rd-8th (Amy Pregulman) Come join us
with the adventure of the summer! Each morning we'll board the
local RTD for a day of fun and writing. Exploring the city, we'll
dive into our writer's notebooks and observe the hauntings of the
cemetery, the sights of the skyline from the very top of the library,
the interesting people on the bus and much more! We'll even taste
ice cream from our local vendors! Don't worry past grads, we'll
go to new and different places along with some old standbys. $50
materials fee.
Art Life 3rd-8th (Amy Weisenhorn) Join us for 5 full days of
becoming an artist! Artists of all kinds invited. We will have "art
choice time" to practice our own art form, or experiment in
another such as visual arts, music, performance art, dance and
theater. We will spend our afternoons collaborating on one big
community art piece, and some time cooling off at the pool. We'll
put together an art gallery and performance to show everyone
what we have created during the week. Your family is also invited
to spend the evenings with us exploring art and art events around
Denver. You won't want to miss the dancing, drawing, singing,
sculpting, strumming, drumming, doodling, monologuing, flash
mobbing and extreme creating! $35 materials fee.

SPECIALTY CAMP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Hogwarts 3rd-6th (Jane Hile) Ever wish you could be a student
at Hogwarts? Now is your chance! The magic begins the moment
you receive your letter of acceptance. Visit Hogsmeade and
Gringotts so you can shop for supplies. Finally, you'll arrive at the
Great Hall for a sorting ceremony and the fun really begins.
Classes will include: Potions, Herbology, Arithmancy, Astronomy,
History of Magic, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, and of
course, Quidditch. We will repeat some favorite activities from
past years as well as encounter new magical adventures. Four
prefect spots will be available each session for returning campers
entering 7th -9th grades. Let the magic begin! Instructors:
Professor McGonagall (Jane Hile), Madame Hooch (LeAnne
Dudley). $50 material fee.

Stanley Sports Fanatics 3rd-8th (Ted McLean) Calling all
sports enthusiasts! This camp is for the child that loves watching
and playing sports. Each day we will mix playing a variety of
sports with venturing off campus to tour facilities where the pros
play. Tours will include Sports Authority Field, the Pepsi Center,
Coors Field, Olympic Training Center, and possibly to Dove
Valley to catch glimpses of the Broncos training camp. We will
conclude the day of touring and sports playing with pool time and
water games. Material Fee $50.
