FROM THE DIRECTOR
People of the Baby Boom Generation (19461964) who have intentions of retiring anytime
soon need to know that their Town Senior Center
has the programs, classes and activities to fulfill
their social, physical and intellectual issues. Here
lies the challenge of the Senior Center to offer the
opportunities to expand programs and activities
and provide a new and improved Center that will
grab you when you enter. That is our intention.
With the architectural firm, BL Companies of Meriden, CT, and help from the State of Connecticut,
a space needs assessment study will be conducted to review the existing building and to develop a master plan for the re-allocation of space,
including expansion of Calendar House. I invite
one and all to come on Thursday, November 20
at 1 PM to meet the firm that will help us improve
our long-term outlook for the future. Please bring
your thoughts and ideas and share them with
everyone. Please read and enjoy the rest of our
newsletter, we have an exciting month which concludes with Italian Night at Hawks Landing!
