The Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Focus: Will you accept God’s invitation to his banquet?
It begins now and continues in the life to come.
Many of us want things for a cheap or a reduced price, yet we
are told that the best things in life are free. God generously
gives us all that we need. We can enjoy God’s abundance in
this life and the next by listening to the Lord and following his
will in our daily lives. What a bargain.
Rest in Peace
Edward M. “Ed” Wright
Please Pray For Our Sick: Carol King, Mary Lensing,
Jo Ann Hiatt, Bo Bourdo, David Nielsen, Wanna L. Byrd,

*Attention Parishioners: Father Phong Pham will be visiting
our parish next weekend to offer all the Masses and to speak
on behalf of Cross Catholic Outreach which was founded to
create a meaningful link between parishes in America and the
priests and nuns working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Central and South America.
October is Respect Life Month
In promoting Pro-Life awareness, our IC CYM will
handing out FREE cupcakes after all the Masses this
weekend!! Cupcakes were designed with birthdays in
mind; however not every child is allowed to be born. One out
of four children are denied a birthday because of abortion.
For this reason, we decided to recognize those babies by giving
away FREE cupcakes! IC CYM is raising awareness for the
Pro-Life message in a “sweet” way!
SSSS- Second Sunday Soup Sunday is this
weekend! SSSS is our monthly parish collection
of non-perishable food items, paper goods, and
baby items that are taken to local charities on a rotational basis.
Your donations may be left at any church exit. Thank You!

IC MINISTRY FAIR ~ Next Week !!
Dear Parishioners,
By now you’ve heard all the buzz about the Four Pillars of
Stewardship. These four pillars include Hospitality, Prayer,
Formation and Service. Hospitality is Christian kindness;
Prayer is having a heart -to- heart with God; Formation is a
continuous conversion; and Service is Love in action. We are
happy to report that our parish is full of ministries that are
living this call.
To see how our parish is doing all these things, come to the
Ministry Fair on October 18th-19th held at the parish
Dining Facility. Displays will be up for your review after
each Mass that weekend; and, cookies will be provided following the Saturday 4:30 pm and Sunday 5 pm Masses.
We are also excited to invite you on Sunday to “The 1st
Annual Stewardship Pancake Breakfast” from 8 am-1 pm in
the same dining hall. Please come join us!
