Understanding Transactions and General
Ledger Reporting
How to Support Tempest
This course will demonstrate how information flows
through the Tempest system, starting with
transaction generation and its impact on the
general ledger, through to the reporting
surrounding those functions. We will look at some
of the best practices for transaction set up, and
how edit lists, approval registers, trial balances and
other reports or features in the system can be used
to track and balance information.
This course will teach Key users and/or IT staff
how to support Tempest products. This will
include a high level Technical Overview, the
basics of the Tool Builder Program, Patch and
Major Release Installation, Security, Web
Administration, the Live To Test Refresh Process
and high level individual system overviews and
configuration of those systems. Students should
come prepared with questions about supporting
Tempest.

Using Tempest Data in Excel
Cheam Room
This course will show you ways to use data you can export from Tempest and manipulate efficiently and
effectively through Excel. As we all know, Tempest provides easy access to data from IntelliSearch as
well as standard queries. Frank will show you ways to use this data in Excel to provide methods to
present this to Staff, Senior Management and Council without the need for other reporting tools. At the
end of the session, please feel free to book additional training with PowerConcepts.
