Ranch and Carpenter Mountain Ranch with Rusty & Roger
Patenaude set the fir e today! 900 Patenaude calves sold on the Video
sale. The 610 lb. Black s/c topped 276.50, their 530 lb. s/c rolled to
302.00, and the load of 440 lb. s/c hit 327.00. The 500 lb. h/c high marked
281.00, and the 450 lb. h/c hit 290.50. Hart Lake Ranch’s 470 lb. Red s/c
topped 321.00. Wayne Murray’s fancy 531 lb. Red s/c hit 293.00, the 491
lb. h/c topped 275.00. The Trinity Ranch today with one powerful pen of
609 lb. Sim X s/c from Hixon. They marked 269.50, their 526 lb. s/c
marked 290.00, their 714 lb. s/c notched 259.00 or 1850.00 each. Roger
& Sue Taylor set the tr end this after noon with one power ful gr oup of
Black Angus calves. The big pen of 627 lb. Black Angus s/c marked
270.50, their heavy 680 lb. s/c notched 266.25 or 1810.00 each. Ron &
Judy Emmelkamp saw their top pen of 627 lb. Red Angus cr oss s/c
trade to 270.00, the big boys 710 lb. marked 260.75 or 1851.00 each. Virginia Mackie’s 614 lb. Angus s/c topped 271.75, their 533 lb. s/c
brought 292.00. Gordon and Linda Watt’s showcased an incredible set of
518 lb. Black s/c which high marked 302.50, their 490 lb. Black h/c raced
to 274.00. Wilf and Lisa Larson’s 703 lb. s/c hit 260.25 or 1829.55 per
head. Burt Brothers Farm 532 lb. Angus s/c marked 290.00. Wayne &
Leilah Kirsh saw their excellent 601 lb. s/c mar k 270.00, their 375 lb.
s/c raced to 370.00. Richard Turcott’s 548 lb. Red s/c topped 282.00, the
460 lb. s/c hit 318.00. Pinnacle View Limousin saw their 625 lb. Limo s/c
hit 263.00, the 577 lb. s/c rolled to 277.00. Lenny & Wendy Leon saw
their top pen of 563 lb. Black & Bwf s/c race to 278.00, their 503 lb. s/c
marked 308.50 with their 338 lb. s/c marking 410.00. Mighton Ranch’s
load of quality 538 lb. Red Angus s/c topped 295.25, the 600 lb. s/c hit
277.00. A pen of their 313 lb. s/c topped 415.00. Joe & Ann Marie Bauer
with some of the heaviest calves in the sale. Their pen of 673 lb. s/c hit
268.25 of 1805.00. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. Alkali Lake Ranch Division set the year ling tr ade with 966 lb. open year ling heifer s at 205.00.
Mike & Tony Bayliffe pr esented some of the best year lings in the sale.
Their liner load of Hereford yearling steers marked 256.50 and weighed
810 lb., their load of 690 lb. heifers hit 240.00. Ken & Carole Foster
showcased a top load of 931 lb. Hereford steers which brought 230.25.

2977 pre-sorted calves sold through the yards on Friday in Vanderhoof.

Another huge sale here in Kamloops as 1600 head of cattle again hit the
sale ring. Bidding was brisk and the quality today was some of the best.
The Ward Creek Ranch put the power to the butcher trade. Their 1305 lb.
butcher cows saw 120.50. John DeBoer had butcher bulls top 146.50. The
calf sale today was set a fire by Ian & Brenda Jones of Louis Creek as their
606 lb. Red & Blk Baldie’s and the buyers loved them, they traded to
261.50. Tom & Linda Hancock saw their 587 lb. s/c notch 277.50. Mel
& Anne Campbell’s 680 lb. Red s/c hit 247.00. Trace Deboer of Bar M
Ranch had a top gr oup of 633 lb. Black s/c hit 258.25, his 475 lb. s/c
rolled to 287.00. Bob & Ruth Black showcased 116 powerful calves. 41
head in one group 607 lb. Black, Bwf and Red baldie traded to 265.50. 21
head of their 501 lb. s/c marked 280.25. 34 head of their top 501 lb. s/c
notched 246.25, their sisters 491 lb. h/c’s saw 263.00. Gordon & Chris
Hudson pr esented a top r ing full of 20 s/c 621 lb. fancy and good, they
traded to 267.25, their 562 lb. h/c’s saw 249.50. Phil & Shirley Johnston
from Clearwater saw their 703 lb. Char cross s/c sell to 247.75, their 591
lb. s/c hit 270.50. 20 head of Phil & Shirley’s tremendous Char cross
h/c’s 658 lb. marked 258.00. Lee Creek Ranch today woke the buyers up
with 753 lb. Char cross steers at 240.50, their 635 lb. Char s/c notched
261.00, their 708 lb. Char h/c’s marked 242.00. Ray & Sheila Harrison’s
powerful 600 lb. s/c topped 271.00, their 543 lb. Black h/c hit 255.00.
8 Mile Ranch’s 514 lb. s/c topped 282.50, their 500 lb. Angus h/c rolled
to 287.00. Eric & Sharon Bergstrand set the stage today as their heavy
630 lb. Red & Black s/c raced to 266.00. 25 head of their 539 lb. s/c
powered to 277.00. 24 head of their fancy 503 lb. h/c’s marked 255.50.
Rocky Edwards 744 lb. heavy s/c fr om Lumby tr aded to 242.00. Ed &
Angela Pawloff saw top quality 674 lb. Black & Red s/c mar k 254.50,
their 564 lb. s/c marked 278.00, their 558 lb. h/c’s saw 249.25.
Next week another powerful sale planned. Ken now has 1800 head of
both yearlings and calves listed.
