Today in Williams Lake another tremendous sale as over half the 1000 head
on offer were calves and the buyers loved them., the quality was excellent
from start to finish. The Diamond Island Ranch built the fire under this sale
with almost 200 calves from Quesnel. 35 head of their 629 lb red and black
angus s/c’s notched 262.50. A pen of their fancy 489 lb s/c’s saw 303.00
and a ring full of their powerful 533 lb h/c’s notched 257.50. David Bleeker
had 570 lb s/c’s trade to 269.50. Bruce & Linda McLean had 612 lb s/c’s
power to 263.00 and their 678 lb s/c’s notched 253.50. Lars & Carol Satre
saw their big pen of 590 lb s/c’s race to 276.50, their 478 lb s/c’s notched
302.00 with their 623 lb s/c’s bringing 260.00. Burnt Bridge Holdings had
715 lb heifers to 219.00 and 637 lb h/c’s to 230.00. Robert Jantz saw his
385 lb Hereford h/c’s mark 270.00. The cow herd dispersal sale for Gus
Horn fr om 100 Mile House saw str ong action from their excellent quality mature black and red cows , bred to speckle park bulls trade to 2090.00
per head. They also topped the butcher cow trade for the day with 1385 lb
cows to 121.00. Fred Tillotson from Big Lake had 427 lb s/c’s at 311.00.
Allan Fridlington fr om Quesnel had 25 Her eford heifer s, 973 lb tr ade
to 194.75 and 933 lb heifers hit 196.75. The Wandering Creek Ranch, Verlin Jantz saw their 38 head of young open heifer ettes tr ade to 141.00.
Dave and Debbie Brace saw their 928 lb calves br ing 142.75.

KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY DEC 16TH
The mix of cattle again today was excellent as 500 head of cattle hit the
sale ring. Calves by far made up the sale receipts. Quality was excellent
and the buyers loved them. The Benedict Ranch set the fire to our butcher
trade with 1415 lb butcher cows at 117.00. Dan & Janette Speller saw
their 1645 lb butcher cows top our trade at 121.75. John & Denise
Vanloon fr om Pember ton put the go to our calf tr ade with some of
the heaviest calves, their 818 lb s/c’s notched 215.00. The Buse Creek
Ranch also with 1380 lb butcher cows mar king 118.00. Geof Sam also
with heavy calves, his 770 lb s/c’s notched 222.50. Ken Roos from Black
Creek BC on the Island filled the r ing with 43 top r ed angus calves all
s/c’s weighing 407 lbs raced to 326.50, their 363 lb s/c’s notched 334.00.
25 head of their 462 lb h/c’s powered to 279.00. 34 head of their 379 lb h/
c’s met 297.00. The Whitley Lake Ranch, the LaFrance Family had
heiferettes trade to 146.50, the younger lighter heifers hit 210.00. George
Little’s 1437 lb butcher cows topped 120.75, his heavy steer calves
weighed 665 lbs and brought 240.75, the 634 lb red baldy s/c’s traded to
250.00. Keith & Penny Prigmore’s 839 lb angus s/c’s r eached 213.00.
Indian Garden’s Ranch had 880 lb heifer s sell to 198.75. Leo & Dawn
Huber’s 800 lb steer s sold to 219.50. Ron Eden had 433 lb steer calves
mark 320.00 and 573 lb s/c’s notch 258.00. Earl Joe had 623 lb black angus s/c’s trade to 240.00. Merle Page had 583 lb s/c’s trade to 252.50 and
433 lb heifer calves to 272.00.
