This is the month to sign all
Holiday Consultants. They can
train and hold their first classes
so they feel prepared for the
holiday season and are past
those first classes with family and
friends. October is also a great
time to get MK gift ideas for them.
If she is unsure, have her hostess
a class. This will show her that
her friends/family are interested
in the product, and she will learn
while you earn! When she signs,
hand the bookings over to her,
she already has a jumpstart on
the holidays!
If she can’t book a class, give her
samples and holiday wish lists.
Once she has a list of products
her friends and family would be
interested in buying, signing her
should be easy!
Focus on earning extra cash for
the holiday season! Ask her, “If
money were no object, what
would you like to purchase for
your family for the holiday
season?” Write down her answer. Respond with, “What if I
could show you a way to make
that dream a reality? With Mary
Kay and a little work, anything is
possible!”
Are you Ready to Start the Holidays with Style?
By hosting a Sparkle! Open House and following the tips below, you can help your customers have fun while they
get a head start on their holiday shopping, and you will be on your way to celebrating a successful season.
Entice with an invite.
We recommend using the Sparkle! Open House invitation to tell your customers about the festivities.
You can include the invitation in product orders or hand it out to customers at your skin care and color
parties. You might want to call your guests to confirm their attendance before the event.
Serve simple snacks.
You don’t have to spend a fortune on catering to throw a fantastic party. Consider serving
time-saving appetizers like pre-made mini quiches or break-and-bake cookies. You also can
stay true to the theme by providing glasses rimmed with popping or fizzing candy and flavored
syrups with sparkling water so your guests can create their own "sparktails."
Dazzle with decorations.
This holiday season is all about twinkling tinsel and brilliant bulbs, so we suggest setting the mood
with upbeat holiday music, decorating with silver tablecloths and adding pops of berry and teal for a
modern twist on the traditional red and green color scheme. You can even use colorful candies as
inexpensive decorations.
Create a product playground.
Consider setting aside a table for showcasing your product offerings. By setting the
stage with the merchandising options from MKConnections® and artfully placed ball
ornaments, you can get your customers in the gift-giving mood. We suggest browsing
the Brilliant Bundles page for product and presentation inspiration.
Meet and greet.
As your customers arrive, let them experience the new limited-edition Pomegranate
Satin Hands® Pampering Set. Then, make sure each guest has a shopping basket, pen
and a Sparkle! Wish List so she can conveniently shop for others and jot down her own
desired gifts. You also can offer free gift wrapping and pre-holiday delivery.
Do a festive follow-up.
If some of your customers are unable to attend, you can send each woman
an MKecard and invite her to throw her own party. Sending thank you notes to
your guests is also a nice gesture.

What it is...What it Can Mean for YOU
When the new Seminar Year began July 1, everyone from the newest consultant in our unit to the
most seasoned began with a clean recognition slate. As of October 7th the following page lists the
Top 20% Performers in our unit this Seminar year-to-date. The total points on the right are calculated
by taking the wholesale section one orders placed by that consultant since 7/1/14 (1 point per dollar) &
adding the actual retail sales she has turned into Dorothy on her Weekly Accomplishment Sheets
since July 1 (1 point per dollar). 1000 Bonus points are then added for each new qualified team
member (w/$600 whsle min., cumulative) since July 1. As you can see, just turning in those WAS
significantly changes the rankings. Since we have 169 beauty consultants in our base unit today, the
top 34 listed represent everyone currently in our Top 20%.
Our Top 5% from July 1 - Dec. 31 will be invited to an annual Top Five Retreat Feb. 6 - 8th ,
2014 at the Hilton Conference Center & Resort in Marietta, GA with the Rainbow’s End
Directors and their Top 5 achievers!
I will continue to email this scoreboard to you with updates every couple of weeks. The top 9 in red
below are currently in our Top 5% & therefore on-target to be invited to that special MK
Leadership Training weekend! ( If someone in the Top 5% declines, the next name on the list will
be invited in her place.) Names in green represent our current Top 10%. blue = Top 15% and
purple names are in our Top 20%. So, stretch to Top 5% & get all your sales reports turned in
ASAP, but no later than by Dec 31...Yes, You CAN!
