Two detained
in connection
with murder
By AHMED AL OMARI
TWO men have been detained
in connection with the suspected
murder of an Asian man yesterday.
The victim suffered fatal head
injuries and was taken to Al Hilal Hospital by two men who
claimed they found him lying in
the street in Tashan, near Khamis.
However, police have detained
the two based on questions surrounding their story.
“An Asian man was admitted
to Al Hilal Hospital in Muharraq
with serious head injuries and
died later in the morning,” said an
Interior Ministry official.
“Two people admitted him saying
they found him lying on the ground
in Tashan. The two were referred to
the Khamis Police Station.”
The official explained the two
men were taken in for questioning because they took the victim
to a private hospital far away
from where they claimed to find
the body.
