Come home to Red River
It’s hard to name the one thing I love most about Red River.
Would it be family values, our tight-knit little community, how
everything is available right at your fingertips? It’s all true!
My fondest memories here are family activities at the
Community House, Christmas dinners, and hiking Wheeler
Peak with my 4-year-old grandson (that grandson is now 17!).
I welcome you and your family to the community I love!
– Mayor Linda Calhoun
A passion for outdoor sports first brought our family to
Red River in the mid-60s to work on the mountain. More
family joined us after we purchased the Ski Area. Growing up
on the mountain truly has given us an insider’s perspective
on hospitality. We understand what you are looking for during
your family vacation—a friendly smile, a helpful attitude, and
plenty of activities for all ages in all seasons. We welcome
you to the playground we call home: Red River Ski Area.
– The Judycki Family
“Spending time with my family
up in the mountains.”
1
Find it on Main Street
Red River is your escape from the fast lane. Here you
can slow down and coast along Main Street—which
is one mile long.
Packed with unique shops and modern conveniences,
you will find name-brand items and one-of-a-kind
gifts. In fact, when you “Shop Red,” you are supporting
independent, local businesses––owned by the same
families for generations!
In the summer, enjoy fresh mountain breezes as you
stroll Main Street. In the winter, the ski lifts deliver
you right back to shopping and dining.
“Take me back to
the mountains.”
2
“Shop Red” and support an honest-to-goodness
local American community.
Food
Restaurants, food services, and bars to feed your
hungry belly.
Shopping
What’s a mall?
Real estate
Ah…Live the dream.
Summer recreation
Insane amounts of fun.
Winter recreation
It’s all about the powder.
Ski shops/rentals
Pros to outfit you right.
Services
Bank, laundry, medical, professional & religious
services, and maintenance for your home and vehicles.
Art and photography
Who wouldn’t be inspired by this place of natural beauty!
Beauty and wellness
You’re sexy and you know it.
Family entertainment
Red River is all about family fun.

Beat the summer heat
Red River is a little valley tucked up at 8,750
feet in the New Mexico mountains. Summer
days are lovely, refreshing, and cool––with
an average daily temperature of 75º.
Whether you’re exploring the great outdoors
or just kicking back with a book, you’ll
appreciate our easy way of life.
On Main Street, you’ll feel like you’ve
stepped into a Norman Rockwell painting.
Unless it’s Red River Memorial Day Rally
Weekend. Then you’ll feel the camaraderie
of American veterans and motorcycle clubs…
and did we mention you’ll hear them too?
“We’re kinda like the Griswold’s...But with toddlers.
Road trip to @Red_River_NM for the weekend!”

Shred the slopes
There’s no “old man winter” around here. Sure,
it may get a little cloudy on fresh powder days––
but Red River typically experiences 300 days of
sunshine with bluebird skies.
When the fresh snow falls, you’ll hear shouts of
joy coming from the Red River Ski Area. But don’t
let that stop you from shopping and joining in on
après ski with your feet by the fire. After all, in the
crisp mountain air, winter is whatever you make it.
“Just spent the past
6 days on the slopes at
#RRSA. Great conditions.
Fabulous time!”

At Red River Ski Area, you can ski and ride over 285 acres
of groomed terrain, with 58 trails on the front and backside.
A little rusty? We have world-class ski school and, if your
little ones are too young to join, our Lil’ Buckaroo Child Care
is their spot with fun on the snow as a part of their day.
Calling all jibbers, jammers, and jumpers. We built three
terrain parks so you can shred the rails, and impress us
with your stylish moves.
After your epic day of adventures on the slopes, take your last
run down the 1,600 vertical drop and end up back on Main
Street. Join your friends for après ski. You looked great out there.
