COMPETITION
Champion of the ICON 2014 will be awarded a
Diamond Award.
Other qualified participants will be awarded Gold,
Silver and Bronze based on a panel of judges during
the exhibition. Only participants who earn at least a
predetermined minimum score will receive the award
during the judging.
The Best Booth and Best Poster also await the
participants.

CONVENTION CENTER
The TTI Convention Centre’s design concept was
adopted to reflect historical elements of Islamic as
well as modern features with dominant qualities such
as strength, integrity and functionality. With 2000
square meters of floor space, TTI Convention Hall can
accommodate almost 2500 delegates in theatre-style
seating and best suited for opening ceremonies,
companies’
promotions,
product
launches,
conventions, and special events ranging from press
conference, seminars to workshop, banquets and
business matching.

UiTM (Terengganu) is proud to be hosting an
international IID competition and conference for
the survival of marketing and increasing levels of
UiTM (Terengganu) to a higher level. The event
is organized to enable each product / product /
study has been designed to be evaluated with
better quality aspect of justice in academia and
industry, also creating a network of cooperation
between universities and industries.

Conference or be known as ICON will be a
bi-annual event universities in ensuring that
innovation and create value addition in each
study and creative work, especially that involving
the students. ICON 2014 is also opened to all
players with innovative and creative industries
also present the results of their review of any
innovation and creative work.

Open to all Malaysian and International higher
education institutions and school students,
academicians and public/private organization.

Research content must be suitable for the
preparation of posters and can fit into a poster
that measures 36 inches x 48 inches.
Others things that need to be included in the
posters are; abstract, objectives, novelty,
usefulness, commercialization potential and
awards of their research. Please refer to the
appendix for a description of the content
reference entries for participants.
Title of the research, name of the members,
faculty, branch/ division and institutional logo
should be included as part of the poster content
(the content of the poster).
Participants are encouraged to provide
additional materials such as brochures,
pictures, certificates of appreciation or other
materials in posters which supports the
respective research and design.
Booth sizes of 3m x 3m is provided by the
organizers, including 1 unit table, 2 chairs and a
source of electricity unit. LCD Projector and
Laptop shall be provided by the participants
themselves.

EVENT B : Conference
This conference aims at bringing together the
researchers,
scientists,
engineers,
scholars,
academicians and students in all areas of the above
mentioned field, and provides an international forum for
the dissemination of original research results, new
ideas and creation which concentrate on both theory
and practices.
Format
Open to all Malaysian and International students,
academicians and public/private organization.

Participants are required to provide
models/ products/ prototypes/ samples /
poster presentations/ illustrations in a
form that is easily understood by the
panel of judges and other visitors.
Each entry must be provided in the form
of poster exhibits (hanging - type, please
refer to examples) to represent the
product or invention.
Preferred language - English or Bahasa
Melayu.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The body of the abstract should not exceed 250 words
and must be prepared in English in a Microsoft Word
document. All submissions should be made via website
http://tiid.uitm.edu.my
All participants are required to register via online
registration system and pay the registration fees.
For competition, one paid registration allows one
project to be exhibited. The conference registration
and fees are also applicable to participants who are
non-author or/and non-presenter. The list of
registration will be constantly updated.
