About the Event
Home for the Holidays is FamilyAid Boston’s 12th annual reception benefiting homeless families in
Boston. The approximately 85 guests are a mix of major donors to FamilyAid Boston and city and
state officials. FamilyAid Boston offers a limited number of sponsorships for the event to ensure
maximum visibility for our generous sponsors.
All funds raised by Home for the Holidays go to FamilyAid Boston’s Emergency Shelter program for
homeless families in Boston. The program, which FamilyAid Boston has run in partnership with the
City of Boston for more than 15 years, provides round-the-clock shelter to Boston families who
have nowhere else to go.

About the Agency
FamilyAid Boston is one of the largest shelter and service providers for homeless families in
Boston, working with more than 800 families each year. Originally founded in 1916 as the Travelers
Aid Society, FamilyAid Boston has a long and established history of helping the city’s most
vulnerable residents. Currently, we are the City of Boston’s sole provider of 24/7 emergency shelter
for families. We work with each family to address the reasons they became homeless and help them
return to stable, permanent housing as quickly as possible.
