Conexant Receives the Outstanding Semiconductor Award for
OC Tech Alliance’s 21st Annual High-Tech Innovation Awards
Powerful Audio Technology Enables Clear Voice Communication with Smart TVs, PCs,
Tablets and other Devices
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 14, 2014 – Conexant Systems Inc., an audio and imaging
innovation leader, has received the Outstanding Semiconductor Award for its CX20921 voice
processing chip. The honor was bestowed by the Orange County Technology Alliance at the
annual High-Tech Innovation Awards gala dinner on October 9 at the Westin South Coast Plaza
in Costa Mesa.
Part of Conexant’s AudioSmart solutions, the CX20921 combines an integrated DSP
CODEC processor with powerful, efficient voice processing algorithms to create a true distant
speaker voice processing solution for consumer electronics such as Smart TVs, set-top boxes,
tablets, PCs and more. The chip also includes a low-power, voice wake-up capability, which
enables the end user to both turn on and control the device using only his/her voice.
“Conexant is changing the way people are communicating with their mobile devices and
their Smart Homes. Our focus is to develop technology that enhances the user experience with
consumer electronics,” said Saleel Awsare, Conexant vice president and general manager.
“We would like to thank the OC Tech Alliance for recognizing the power of our voice processing
technology.”
