We will formally dedicate this gift to the glory of God at our 9.30am service on All Saints' Day, 2 November. Barbara's generosity has made possible this new instrument and the relocation of our old church piano to Cater Hall. A busy week of engagement at Synod in the evenings and all day Saturday for your Synod representatives prevented some of us from attending Tastes & Treasures @ Trinity on Saturday, but thank you to all who assisted with our market. Our November market coincides with the Surrey Hills Music Festival who will be using the church from 2pm for choral performances. Brochures on the festival's events are available on the bench in the narthex. Please also take a TMA if you did not get on last Sunday. Our Annual Meeting will be held on 16 November following morning tea at 11.15am. If your ministry group usually submits a report for publication, please let me have this as soon as it is available so that it can be included in the parish's Annual Report which will be available on 9 November for collection. Two documents, Hall Hire Rates and Policy on Funerals, were adopted at the meeting. 4. All fundraising activities between 1 October 2014 and 30 September 2015 will be conducted as Input Taxed events. 5. The question of the appointment of an Assistant Treasurer was referred to the 2014-2015 Parish Council. 6. For security purposes, the acquisition and installation of a safe will be investigated. 7. Parish Rules, formulated in compliance with the Parish Governance Act 2013, were tabled and referred to the forthcoming Annual Meeting of the Parish for adoption. 8. (Précis prepared by John Barns) Notices 'Holy Trinity on wheels' We have acquired a 'wheely-walker' for parish use, generously funded by a parishioner. It lives in the alcove at the top of the stairs at the front of the parish office. It is a light-weight model so that it can be easily lifted down the stairs or rolled down the ramp to the narthex. It is provided in case a parishioner gets a lift to church and is unable to bring their own wheely-walker with them. It will avoid the difficulty that some have in getting their walker into a car or taxi. Christmas Choir The Annual Service of Lessons and Carols will be held at 7pm Sunday 21 December, the Sunday before Christmas. Other singers are invited to join our choir for this special event. The practices for the Carol Service will start on Thursday November 6 at 8.30 pm following the regular choir practice.
