During communion the music is "To His Servant Bach, God Grants a Final Glimpse" by the contemporary Adelaide composer Graeme Koehne. "The Crucifixion" The cantata by John Stainer will be performed by the joint choirs of St Peters Box Hill and Holy Trinity on Palm Sunday March 29 at St Peters Box Hill. Rehearsals for The Crucifixion will commence on 8.30 pm Thursday 19 February at our regular choir practice. Singers who would like to be involved should contact Richard Hoy, Director of Music. Lenten study This Lent we will be using ‘Praise Him: Songs of Praise in the New Testament’, an ecumenical course in five sessions written by Dr Paula Gooder. Radio-style discussion starters to accompany the course - Canon Simon Stanley putting questions to our three main participants : Archbishop Justin Welby, Sister Wendy Beckett and actor David Suchet CBE. Ash Wednesday There will be two services with the imposition of ash on Ash Wednesday 18 February—@ 10am, and 7pm St Paul’s Cathedral A new book has been kindly donated to the library— a history of St Paul's Cathedral by Bishop James Grant (12th Dean of Melbourne). The book, titled St Paul's Cathedral 1879 - 2009 provides a comprehensive history of the Cathedral's building and activities, from its inception to the end of the first decade of the present century, drawing on many of the Cathedral’s archival resources. 2 3
