Important announcement for all students: Please make sure all of your valuables are locked up in your gym locker during your Physical Education class. There have been thefts in the locker room of those items that are not locked up. If you cannot fit your valuables in your gym locker, please do not bring them to school or leave them locked in your regular school locker. The POB school district is not responsible for theft of personal belongings, so please make sure they are safely locked up at all times. Students are needed to help out at our TAG program on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 1:45PM-3:45PM. If you are interested, please see Ms. Karayiannis in Room 124 to pick up the necessary forms, or see Ms. Lasher for more information. These hours can be counted as Community Service hours. ID card and underclass photo make-ups will take place on Monday, November 10th. No senior yearbook photos will be taken that day. CLUBS A Cappella is hosting a Beat Boxing workshop and master class TODAY, 2:30PM4:30PM, in the Choir Room. Joey Silver, a POBJFKHS alum and a professional Beat Boxer from NBC’s “The Sing Off,” will be teaching beginners and experienced students how to become a better Beat Boxer. The workshop is open to all students including those not in A Cappella. Attention Freshmen -- students will be working on the Homecoming banner TODAY and Tuesday, October 21st, 10th period, in Room 224. A SING informational meeting will take place TODAY, at 2:30PM, in Room 192A/B, for any students interested in being considered for a SING leadership position including grade leader, dance leader and overall commissioner. The Yearbook Club will have a meeting for all creative staff members TODAY, at 2:30PM, in Room 165 to discuss the layout, theme, and design of the 2015 edition. Engineering Awareness Night takes place Wednesday, October 22nd, in the LGI, Cafeteria, and Gym. This is a fun way of raising awareness of Engineering in our community as well as finding out what engineering is how the Robotics team works. There will be food, games and you may get to drive the robot!! Come help set up, participate, and break down. Spread the word. HEALTHY HAWKS WILL NOT BE MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22ND!! TODAY is Pajama Day; Tuesday, October 21st, is Character Day; Wednesday, October 22nd, is Jersey Day; Thursday, October 23rd, is Throw-Back Day; and Friday, October 24th, the entire school can wear blue and white to show your school spirit. Ithaca College has a scholarship available through the Roy H. Park School of Communications. Apply to Ithaca College with the Common App by Thursday, January 1st and apply for the scholarship by Thursday, January 15th.
