DIRECTIONS:
From the south: Interstate I-89 north to exit 15. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto
Route 15 East. Follow that to the Champlain Valley Exposition. The entrance to the fairgrounds
will be approximately three miles on your left.
From the north: Interstate I-89 south to exit 16. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Main
Street towards Winooski/Burlington. Follow Main Street to the rotary and take the third exit out
of the rotary onto route 15 east towards Essex. Follow route 15 for approximately three miles.
The Exposition entrance will be on your left.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS
CLOSING DATE for entries is noon, Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the Trial Secretary’s
home, after which time entries cannot be cancelled, accepted, or altered.
ENTRY FEE is per dog and includes recording fee and event service fee. “A recording fee of $.50
(50 cents) and an Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any
Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be
collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in
more than one class in the show, the Event Service Fee is to be collected on each entry of each
dog. (American Kennel Club Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2).”
ALL CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS are to be made payable to Burlington Obedience Training
Club, Inc. Payment must be in U.S. Funds. MAIL ENTRIES WITH FEES to Lee Ann Donner, 5
Hagan Drive, Essex Jct., VT 05452. Express mail entries must include signature permitting
them to be left at the secretary’s address without recipient’s signature.
CONFIRMATION of the entries, together with a copy of the Judging Program will be made as
soon as practical after the closing date.
ENTRIES not submitted on Official AKC Entry Forms, sent unsigned, or specifying conditions as
to its acceptance will be rejected. Photocopies without the agreement on the back will be rejected.
Fees must accompany entries. No Fax service available.
CANADIAN EXHIBITORS: It is suggested that you enter early and call or e-mail the trial
secretary to confirm the receipt of your entry.
ERRORS ON ENTRY FORMS are the owner’s responsibility. Refund of entry fee will not be
made if such error is disclosed after the trial closing time.
ENTRY FEES will not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred
from competition. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the
management it is impossible to complete the trial, no refunds will be made.
TRIAL HOURS are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time
of judging. Consult Judging Program. Exhibitor is responsible for having his dog at ringside when
its class is to be judged. JUDGES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WAIT FOR DOGS. Dogs not
required for further judging will be excused.
SPACE LIMITED - there will be space for crating dogs. All exhibitors are requested to have their
dogs under control at all times. Please conserve space.
ALL DOGS must be held on leash or confined to their crate except when being judged. There will
be no space provided for unentered dogs as specified in Chapter 11, Section 11 of Rules
Applying to Registration and Dog Shows. Exhibitors are requested to use only DESIGNATED
EXERCISE AREAS and help to keep the trial grounds clean.
A REFUND of $20 will be given to the owner of a bitch which comes into season after the closing
date, provided a signed note from a veterinarian is presented to the Trial Secretary before the
start of the Trial.
REFRESHMENTS - Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase at the Trials.
CAMPING: Available for exhibitors. Check http://www.cvexpo.org/Camping.html for all details
and costs. BOTC and CVKC are not responsible for overnight parking and receive no income
from campers.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free
of internal and external parasites and any communicable diseases, and have appropriate
vaccinations. The State of Vermont requires a rabies vaccination every three years.

HOW TO USE THE COMBINED ENTRY FORM
Use one entry blank per dog. Check at the top of the entry form
the show(s) in which you wish this dog entered. If you wish to
enter a dog in a different class on different days, i.e., Open B on
Saturday and Utility A on Sunday, you must use a separate entry
form for each day.
Rally is a separate, titling event. The entry fee for Rally is $25,
even if you enter another class in the Obedience Trial on the
same day.
Dogs entered in mixed breed classes should mark breed as “All
American Dog” or “Mixed Breed.” Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam
information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.

Include jump heights for Obedience and Rally.
Obedience classes will be judged in jump height order as follows:
Friday - high to low, starting with 36”
Saturday and Sunday – low to high, starting with 4”
All Rally classes on all days will be judged in jump height order,
high to low, starting with 16”.
Total Obedience entries will be limited as follows:
Saturday morning trial: 4 hours per judge
Saturday afternoon trial: 4 hours per judge
Sunday trial: 8 hours per judge
Total Rally entries will be limited to 80 entries on Saturday
morning, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning.
Limited to 65 entries on Sunday afternoon.
Transfers to another class are permitted as provided for in
Chapter 1, Section 16 of the Obedience Regulations.

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient.
In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog
judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors,
governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any
provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties,
and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which maybe alleged to
have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises
or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim;
and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the
aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed

the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not
exceeding 13in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies
(rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat,
long coat), English Toy Spaniels(King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy,
miniature, standard).
2. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are
entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of
the class in which you are entering our dog, i.e., A or B division.
3. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an
event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of
its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether
the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her
name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete
rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3. of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.)
4. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine PartnersSM Program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC
Obedience trials at the club’s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must

shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
