UPCOMING EVENTS:

Congratulations to the Lady Wolves on your co-conference championship! The Wolves earned #1 seed in playoffs and the
first regional game will be tonight vs Stockbridge at 7PM. GOOD LUCK!!

Congratulations to the football team on making it into the playoffs! Hilbert will host Rio this Friday, October 24 at 7:00 PM.
NEWS:

Hilbert Football Playoff Shirts – orders and money must be turned in by 4PM TODAY! In order to guarantee delivery by Friday
- No late orders will be accepted.

Wednesday, October 22 is Unity Day. Unity Day is a national campaign against eliminating bullying; you can visit the
following website for more information: http://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/unity-day.asp. All elementary/middle/high school
students and staff are asked to wear an orange shirt tomorrow. A school wide photo will take place after lunch on
Wednesday.

PICTURE RETAKES will take place Thursday, October 23 . If you are planning on having photos taken, please report to your

1 hour class for attendance and then to the mini gym for photos.

Lunch time – the media center is CLOSED during lunch time. Students should not be in there unless a teacher is with you
supervising.

Boomerang teachers – just a reminder your first presentation is today at 12:30 at the elementary school.

Sophomores and Juniors – just a reminder that Jostens will be back on Wednesday, October 22

7th and 8 grade boys – basketball starts today. If you do not have a physical on file in the office, you will not be able to
practice until that is turned in.

DATE CHANGE: The MS Halloween Dance/Parent Mixer has been moved to Tuesday, October 28 . It will still take place in
the Commons from 6 to 8 p.m. Information has been emailed home and a notice will be sent home today with students.

Attention all Coding Ninjas! Coding club is off to a great start, and we are excited to have so many new Ninjas this year. To

help us all learn to be better coders we will be splitting the group into two. 1 year Ninjas, students new to Coding Club, will

meet on Tuesdays at our regular time (3:15-4:00). 2 year Ninjas, anyone who was in the club last year, will be meeting on
Thursdays from 3:15-4:00. Please note the change and let your parents know. If this change does not work for you please let
Mrs. Brown know so we can work around it. This change will be starting, October 21 & October 23.

Calling all pumpkin decorators! Don’t forget to bring in your pumpkins, decorated as your favorite book character. We can’t
wait to see which characters will be joining us in the library. Be sure to get your entry in before Oct. 31.

The 8 grade business classes have started 4 different businesses in Mrs. Remington’s Business Class.
*Like delicious sugar cookies? Then order some Hilbert influenced cookie cutters. The Wooki3 Pack is selling cooking cutters
shaped like a wolf, a paw print, and an H. You can order a pack of 3 cookie cutters for $12. Pick up an order form from the
high school office. All proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
*The Wolf Ties students are making tie blankets to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. If you are interested you

can pick up an order form in the office. Fill out the form and turn it in to Mrs. Remington by October 31 .
*Football Elite is selling 7 inch Hilbert mini footballs. They cost $6.00. You can pick up an order form in the office or from Mrs.
Remington. Please turn your form in to the office with payment. You may also see us at Hilbert home events.
*The Wolf Tush Cush is selling fold-up seat cushions for $10. The profits will go to River of Hope. Order forms can be picked
up in the office.

The following Juniors need to pay Mrs. Remington $15.60 for the homecoming shirts: Israel.

The following students need to pay Mrs. Remington $7 and collect their pink socks they ordered.

Winter Poms Try Outs (Basketball/Competition) will take place at the end of the month. If interested, please sign up in the
office and pick up an information sheet.
STUDENT SERVICES:

A rep from Michigan Tech will be here on Wednesday, October 22 at 11:30 am. If you would like to meet with her get a pass
from Student Services.

Congratulations to Emma Sweere and Nina Waech for being chosen as the Optimists Students of the Month for September!
They were nominated by faculty for their hard work, good character, and willingness to help others. Way to go girls!
