#SVPSforthewin Sport and Extra-mural Programme 2014 Term Four: Summer 1 Message from Coach K The Winter Season of 2014, has been nothing short of spectacular. We have been blown away by phenomenal performances in every single age group and in every single sporting code. The enthusiasm shown by the coaches, staff and students at SVPS has been amazing and something that we are incredibly proud of. Brad Keller Director At SVPS, we are blessed to have passionate, supportive parents. Thank you for all your encouragement and positive spirit on the side lines. It is greatly appreciated. Netball has been a huge area of success for SVPS this Term as we have watched our girls flourish against powerful opposition. All teams finished either 2nd or 1st in their respective leagues. Amazing results have been seen at all festivals. Rugby has gone from strength to strength as we have seen our teams beat all Co-Ed Schools in the League quite convincingly. We have developed amazing depth with a B Team in the majority of the age groups. We look forward to taking on the Boys Schools in 2015. Hockey has been incredibly successful in Term Three. Mr Best has worked tirelessly to promote boys hockey and we have seen the fruits of his hard work. The U9 - U11 age groups have shown amazing signs of success for the future. The girls have produced stunning performances to win 90% of their matches. Soccer has once again been a well attended sport at SVPS. The results have been very pleasing with the U10’s and U13’s both topping their league. The depth in the age groups has been fantastic as we boasted THREE U13 Teams this year. Girls soccer has shone in 2014 as they won their league! Cross Country has been another shining line for the Valley as our girls and boys produced amazing performances throughout the term. Thank you to all the boys and girls for their incredibly hard work and dedication and for making sport at SVPS such a success. Coach K J. Du Preez Sports Administrator A. Kiel, K. Simon and T.
