This year’s course will be run at the Platteville Golf and Country Club which is a challenging course featuring rolling hills, good footing and great spectator participation. Meet Registration will close on Tuesday, October 21st, at 12:59 pm. A School may make changes to it's tournament roster up until race time. PLEASE READ OVER THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY TO AVOID ANY RULE PROBLEMS DURING THE MEET ITSELF. PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE STARTING PROCEDURE AND “UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT”. You will also receive additional maps on site. The course will be clearly marked with proper flagging. Bus and General Parking: +Buses and team vans may park in the back parking lot of the First Lutheran Church, which is across the street from the Golf Course. We will have a parking attendant at the entrance to direct you. We suggest that you drop your teams off near the course, and then park your buses. *If any of your athletes need to return to the bus, please advise them to look both ways, as the church parking lot is across a moderately busy highway. •Buses and cars may also park along Northside Dr. next to the church. •Cars may park on the Hwy adjacent to the Golf Course. •Any spectators with mobility needs will be allowed to park in the Golf Course Parking Lot. Greens and Tees: Please: Remind your athletes and spectators, to the best of your ability, to stay off of all Greens and Tees. Team Tent Set Up: +Tents will need to be set up on the hillside near the Start and Finish area. Tents may not be set up to the South of the start area, or any where that is to the outside of the course. If there is a problem, we would appreciate your teams cooperation in moving if need be. We will have a “Tent Marshall” That will help you in where your team tents may be set up. Restricted Areas: Coaches and athletes are restricted from the timing systems tent. Coaches may enter this area only to make changes or in picking up their packets before the meet. The finish and chute area are also considered restricted. Please allow our workers to do their jobs effectively. Results: Results can be found on line shortly after the meet at: www.accuracetiming.com Awards: Plaques to the Runner- Up and Championship Teams. Medals to Members (7) of the runner-up and championship teams. Medals to first five individuals who are not members of a qualifying team. These plaque and medal winners will also advance on to the WIAA State Cross Country Meet. Awards Presentation: The Awards presentation will take place on site near the Club House of the Golf Course. If we have inclement weather, the awards presentation will take place at Platteville High School Gymnasium which is .5 miles away. Directions to the HS will be provided to Teams and Spectators on site as needed. We ask that all athletes upon receiving awards are wearing proper school issued attire. No hats, nor clothing that is deemed unacceptable by the Meet Manager. Thank you for your help with this. We also request that all teams stay for the awards to show respect for those teams and individuals that have qualified and respect for this great sport of Cross Country. Publishing: Generation3media may be producing the program for our Cross Country Sectional, and may be contacting you about your teams rosters and team pictures if they have not done so already. Medical: Platteville High School will have a Trainer on site for any medical emergencies. Southwest Health Center is our local Hospital for any severe emergencies. Lead and Trail Vehicles: There will be a Lead Vehicle (Bike Rider) to guide the lead runners through the course. A trail vehicle may also be in use for any athletes that may become injured or incapacitated during the race. Race Numbers and Tags: NUMBERS will be worn by each of the athletes. These Numbers should be worn on the Front of the jersey's, and will be distributed by the Timing System Company. We will have a back up system of tearing the bottom of the tags from the numbers at the Finish Line. Concessions: Concessions will be available near the Start/Finish Line. We will be offering Hot Dogs, and drinks, along with baked goods for the athletes if they would like to enjoy a meal right on the site. T-Shirts: A beautiful, commemorative Long Sleeve Dryfit T-Shirt will be available for $25.00. No pre-orders need to be sent in before the meet. Supplies will be limited however. Take a Right, on business 151. You will go past Walmart. Continue West until you get to the 4th Stoplight. This is Hwy 80, WalGreens will be on your Right. Go Right. Continue going North for 1.6 miles. Hwy 80 is also called Water Street. The Golf Course will be on your Left. You can let your kids off here, or turn Right at 1.5 miles into the Lutheran Church of Peace Parking Lot. Buses will need to park here. If you are coming from the South on Hwy 80, (Darlington/Cuba City) when you get to the Hwy 80-81/151 intersection (Walgreens/Dunkin Donuts/Dairy Queen) Continue going North for 1.6 Miles. Hwy 80 is also called Water Street. The Golf Course will be on your Left. You can let your kids off here, or turn Right at 1.5 miles into the Lutheran Church of Peace Parking Lot. Buses will need to park here. If you are coming from the North on Hwy 81, (Lancaster) take a Left when you get to Ridge Avenue (first road to the left when you enter Platteville). The road will take you on to North 4 th St. Take a Left at the stop sign on to Sylvia St. The municipal pool will be on your Left. At the next stop sign take a Right, this is North 2 nd St. and then take an immediate Left on to Pitt St. Follow this to the next stop sign (this is Water St. or Hwy 80) and take a Left. Go ¼ mile and you are at the Golf Course. You can let your kids off here, or turn Right at .1 miles back at Lutheran Church of Peace Parking Lot. Buses will need to park here. If you are coming from the North on Hwy 80, (Arthur/Livingston) The Golf Course will be directly on your Right as you enter Platteville You can let your kids off here, and then drive .1 miles to the Lutheran Church of Peace Parking Lot on your left. Buses will need to park here. If you are coming from the South on Hwy 151 (Dickeyville) Take Exit 18. Take a Left, on business 151. Continue East until you get to the 1st Stoplight. This is Hwy 80, Dairy Queen will be on your Left. Go Left. Continue going North for 1.6 miles. Hwy 80 is also called Water Street. The Golf Course will be on your Left. You can let your kids off here, or turn Right at 1.5 miles into the Lutheran Church of Peace Parking Lot. Buses will need to park here. Go to www.pttiming.com and click on the ‘Upcoming Events’ link. Step 2. Locate and click on the ‘Register Online’ link for the Sectional Meet you are assigned to compete in. Step 3. If you already have an existing login/password for the PT Timing system for the 2014 season, you can use that to log into that meet. If you have not used PT Timing before, you can follow the ‘Click Here to Create a New Account’ link to create your login. After creating the new login, you will be able to return to the Log In screen for your sectional and access the entry system. Step 4. New users only. After you have accessed the online entry system, you will need to add their athletes to their roster. You will only need to add athletes who will either be listed as Varsity or Alternates for the sectional meet. Step 5. On the main screen you will see your current roster. You will need to check which 7 runners are ‘Varsity.’ You can also designate your ‘Alternate’ athletes. The remainder of your Roster should be listed under ‘Not Racing.’ Once you have finished your entries, use the ‘Update’ button at the bottom of the page to submit your entries. Step 6. Using the ‘Summary’ link, verify that your entries are correct. Please be sure to verify that all registered runner have the correct ‘Year in School’ listed as the WIAA requires this information.
