TWENTY-NINTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Stewardship Message October 19, 2014 Weekday Masses and Intentions “Give to God the things that are God’s”. Jesus’ words remind us that everything we have belongs to God…how then do we give to him? Paying taxes; making mortgage or rent payments; paying tuitions; giving to church and charity; paying all of our day-to-day bills – when these are done with joy and gratitude to God, we are giving God what is His… our lives. Our parishioners expressed gratitude for a wide range of items including faith, our parish, family, health, and freedom. Statements of gratitude included, I am grateful for … “everything the good Lord has given us. For all his blessings, his mercy, his healing and his love. With a grateful heart, I give thanks,” “For the opportunity to share the Catholic faith with my children,” For my life and all the good things I have been given. Most of all that I was baptized Catholic, to love and serve God,” and “being able to come to Mass and receive the Eucharist and to share my gifts with the less fortunate.” Lost & Found: There are several items in the lost and found ranging from eye glasses to clothes.
