Future LWCMB Meeting dates: December 2nd January 6th February 3rd March 3rd MUSIC BOOSTER MEMBERSHIP If you already paid your dues and did not receive your LWCMB card, please have your student contact Mrs. Jackson. When you become a paid member of The Music Boosters ($30 annually) your student will be able to raise money through our many fundraisers held throughout the year for their Individual Band Accounts (IBAs). The money your student raises may be used to pay for anything that requires a payment to the Music Department. This includes, but is not limited to field trips, out of town trips, spirit wear, banquet tickets, contest fees, and instrument components/repairs ordered through Music Department vendors. Another great benefit of being a Music LWCMB October 2014 Booster Member is with your paid membership card you and your family members (2 adults and 4 children) are admitted to any Lincoln-Way Sporting Event (excluding IHSA and playoff tournaments) at which the band performs. New this year, your Music Booster Membership card will now have our GFS (Gordon Food Supply) ID number on the back. Each time you shop at GFS show the card and a portion of your purchase will go back to the Music Boosters. CHARMS ACCOUNT If you have not already done so, please log onto the Charms site to check and update your information. Charms Office Instructions: www.charmsoffice.com Click the enter tab at the top then parent / student / member. You will then be asked to enter your school code: lincolnwaymusic Now you can click the various tabs to look at handouts, calendars or e-mail addresses. You can also enter your students ID number as the student password. After entering the ID number you will be able to check your students IBA balance and check that your students as well as your contact information are up to date. It will show Student information first and parents are listed below. Our e-mail lists are created using the information found in Charms so keeping it up to date keeps the lines of communication open. LWC Music Boosters Newsletter Page 2 LWCMB FACEBOOK PAGE If you are new to the Music Programs here at LW Central please consider joining the LWC Music Booster Facebook Page. The page is used to send out reminders and last minute updates. It is also a great platform to share all the photos from all of our great groups. This is a closed group so the photos are only available to members. Please do not tag students when posting. If you are interested in joining send a request through Facebook and someone will approve you within a day. LWC SIAM COORDINATOR We are STILL in need of someone to take over as SIAM Coordinator for LW Central. This does not need to be a single person; it can be a small group or a husband and wife. The SIAM Coordinator is responsible for contacting businesses in our area about being part of the SIAM Book. They will also meet with the other District Coordinators throughout the year. SIAM is the single largest fundraiser for the Music Boosters and is a Districtwide effort among all of the Lincoln-Way Music Booster organizations.
