Be it known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for this school. He is the unseen but ever present teacher in its
classes. He is the model of its faculty and the inspiration of its students.
Dear Parents:
I must tell you, last week was a phenomenal week. A four day weekend did not hurt either, but that was
just the icing on the cake. Things really got rolling on Wednesday when we had our first ever schoolwide retreat at St. Andrew with Net Ministries. The 12 young men and women who led things did a
wonderful job with our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Whether it was in a large group presentation or a small
group discussion it was truly something else to watch everyone be so involved with „matters of faith‟.
Follow that up by an All School Mass the following morning at Seton. How blessed we all are when the
entire K – 8 student body, faculty, and staff come together to pray with one voice. I love sitting back and
watching how the younger grades simply stare at the junior high kids with such awe and amazement.
“Pray hard, play hard.” This was a comment by one of the folks from Boosterthon who was assisting
with the Fun Run. How perfect was that comment. Again, it was a sight to see as both campuses came
together for this inaugural Fun Run event. The students had a marvelous time as they ran / walked /
danced / skipped as many laps as they could in the allotted time.
I will be able to give you our final numbers next week at this time. We are doing the final pledge count
this Friday morning. Regardless of the outcome, thank you for your support. The students will certainly
benefit from your generosity.
Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us this Thursday, 10/23, 7:00 pm, at St. Andrew Church,
as we gather to pray the rosary during this, the month of the Rosary. Passionately Catholic. What a great
example we parents can set by taking the family to this. This is why we are a Catholic school. I hope to
see a great turn out.
Peace and all good,

Mrs. Voto visited the 1st grade classroom to teach the
students about reptiles and give them an opportunity to
hold or touch her snake. Cornelius, the snake, became
especially friendly as he slithered through the belt loop
of one of the student‟s pants!
3rd graders are creating spooky forests in Art class as
the incorporate lessons they have been learning
including symmetry and asymmetry, contrast and form
and the concept of positive and negative space.
6th graders are practicing writing with supporting details
by writing essays about the place they most want to go
on vacation. They started out by creating post cards
“sent” from their chosen place and now are working on
writing 5 paragraph essays.
6th, 7th and 8th grade students participated in a day
long retreat facilitated by Net Ministries. The day was
filled with inspiring talks, personal faith sharing, skits,
small group discussions, song and prayer. The mission
of the retreat was to help our students understand God‟s
love for them, encourage them to grow in their
commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church and to
ultimately grow in their relationship with God.
Seton Campus students raised $150 for “All for Books”,
a program sponsored by Scholastic. This program uses
the funds raised to buy books for those children who are
less fortunate. Additionally our own book fair raised
$2300 for our classroom and school library.
4th graders are researching saints and will be working on
writing a report and creating a shield that represents
their special saint. The students will then process into
church with their shields for our All Saints Day Mass.
2nd graders are learning about the sacrament of Baptism.
Students are sharing with their class mementos and
stories from their baptism.
Pray the Rosary SEAS Church Every Friday
3:45 – 4:00pm
All students, parents, and friends are welcome!
Students will be dismissed from church or Mrs.
Voto’s classroom.
Join us as we pray the rosary!
The month of October is dedicated each year to the Most
Holy Rosary. As Catholics, we pray the rosary to help
keep in memory certain principle events or mysteries in
the history of our salvation, and to thank and praise God
for them.
Praying the rosary brings comfort in times of need especially when we pray it with family and friends.
Gather your children and join us, and other members
of the SASEAS community, as we pray the rosary
together Thursday, October 23rd from 7:00-7:30 PM
at St. Andrew Church.
