EBOLA CRISIS APPEAL - Alarmed at the growing Ebola crisis in West
Africa, the United Church is responding with a church-wide appeal.
Donations received will be sent primarily to ACT Alliance for its
efforts to help contain the spread of the Ebola virus disease (EVD)
and raise awareness about how to prevent the spread of the virus.
ACT is also providing basic protective gear such as gloves and face
masks, addressing stigma and discrimination, and providing muchneeded psychosocial support to families who have lost loves ones.
Your generous donations will be distributed through ACT Alliance
and United Church M&S partners in West Africa. "If one member
suffers, all suffer together…if one member is honored, all rejoice
together." 1 Corinthians 12:26

SUPPORT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY'S KAWARTHA LAKES BUILD Want to check out hunky, handsome local contractors and Habitat
volunteers? Pick yourself up a 2015 Raise the Roof calendar in
support of the Kawartha Lakes Habitat build in Lindsay in 2015.
Calendars are $10 and available from the Lindsay ReStore and the
church office.
WE’RE REACHING OUT and we need your help. If you’ve noticed
someone missing from the pews for a while, we need to hear from
you. We’re working on a plan to contact people, not to make them
feel bad about not being able to attend worship, but to let them
know their church cares. Please speak to Nancy Payne, Rev. Paul,
Mike Warren or Pam in the office if you know of someone we
should contact with a friendly hello. Any background info you can
provide will be helpful as we work to do better at staying in touch.
