1.1
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the:

1.2
If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

ADVERTISING
2.1
A boat and her crew shall comply with ISAF Regulation 20, Advertising Code.
2.2
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the OA. Boats are urged
to refrain from displaying advertisements for businesses or product competing with those of the
primary and support sponsors of the event.
3
ELIGIBILTY AND ENTRY
3.1
The regatta is open to all racing and cruising self-righting Keelboats, Catamarans, Beach
Catamarans, Trimarans; belonging to members of Changi Sailing Club and invited sailors of
other yacht clubs/marinas.
3.2
Competition will be arranged into the following classes and class division will depend on entries
received:

A boat can only qualify for the Ambassadors division when she has an Ambassador on board.

3.4
The OA reserves the right to invite additional classes at its sole discretion.
3.5
In assigning a boat’s PY handicap number, the OA may consider any other criteria it considers
relevant, including without limitation to the boat’s skipper and crew. It shall not be bound to
apply PY numbers assigned to the boats by any other handicapping committee of any yacht
club or other authority. PY numbers assigned by the OA shall be final and shall not be
subjected to appeal.
3.6
The allocated PY rating may be adjusted at the sole decision of the OA if the rating previously
granted is considered to be unrealistic by the OA with reference to the rest of the fleet. (It is
the intention of the OA to give all PY boats an opportunity to be competitive).
3.7
Eligible boats may enter by completing the attached form and sending it, together with nonrefundable registration fee to;

5.1
A maximum of 1 passage race is scheduled as specified in the Sailing Instructions.
5.2
The Race Committee may attempt to start the race for each class with an interval of at least 10
minutes each.

Start/Finish lines are between the Flag pole on the CSC Jetty & ODM (CSC 1)
The number of loops will be determined on the day of race. To indicate the finish, the “S”
flag will be flown with the class flag as the first boat in each class approaches the finishing
line.

SCORING
9.1
Minimum of 1 race is required to be completed to constitute a series.
9.2
When the time limit is reached, a boat that has not finished will be given a placing according
to her position as she last crossed the line. However, her finishing position will not be better
than the boat
that had finished within the time limit for the race.

RADIO COMMUNICATION
Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmission while racing nor receive
radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile
telephones.

PRIZES
11.1
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 position in each division in accordance to item 3.2.

The Ambassadors’ Cup Challenge Trophy shall only be awarded to the winner in the
Ambassadors Division.

12
MPA REQUIREMENTS
12.1
All Participating boats must be registered with Maritime and Port Authority for use in
Singapore Waters. Foreign registered boats may participate but must have a working AIS or
Transponder onboard.
12.2
Standard MPA safety requirements shall apply. In particular, boats must keep clear of larger
vessels making way in restricted channel.
12.3
Prohibited Areas
a)
Chek Jawa Wetlands (1° 24’.7N, 103° 59’.6E)
Entry into the Chek Jawa Wetlands is affected by numerous restrictions and
prohibitions. For further details, see Port Marine Notice No 126 of 2007.
b)
CAAS 1 (1°23’.55N, 103°59’.94E)
No vessel shall proceed south of the line of CAAS Buoy 1 All vessels are prohibited
from entering, transiting, anchoring or mooring within these areas unless specific
approval has been obtained from the Port Master.
12.4
Any infringement of the port regulations may result in the disqualification of the boat(s)
involved.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race.
The Organizing Authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or
death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid and adequate third-party liability insurance.
