The Salvation Army is accepting Christmas Assistance Applications. Those who
wish to apply may walk in; no appointments
are required.
People may apply from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, October 30th; Wednesday, November 12th; Thursday, November 13th;

Aquatics Expert David A. Lass To Speak
At One Stop Country Pet In Keene
David A. Lass has been keeping
tropical fish since he was 12 years old.
On Thursday, November 6th, he brings
his youthful enthusiasm to One Stop
Country Pet in Keene to speak about
fish keeping and Nano tanks, or as he
is fond of saying, “little fish in little
tanks.”
Lass has been involved in most
aspects of the hobby and is the author
of Angelfish: Understanding and Keeping
Angelfish (Fish Keeping Made Easy). He
is the FishKidz columnist for Aquarium
Fish International and a moderator on
FishChannel.com. “This is a really fun
and informal way to exchange ideas
about fish keeping with industry professionals and others who share the
passion,” explains Pam Rohdenburg,
Keene store manager. The presentation
begins at 6 p.m. and light refreshments
will be served. The evening will include
raffles for fish and aquarium products
as well as special deals on Nano tanks
and fish. Those interested in attending

Olympians For Kids Program
At Sturtevant Chapel
Sturtevant Chapel has begun a new children’s
ministry called Olympians. Olympians is a program
by Word of Life Fellowship for grades one to six.
They meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays with
registration beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Olympians has an Olympic theme, and involves
lots of fun and games. Senior Pastor Steve Aldrich
leads Coach’s Corner, a dynamic and interactive Bible
lesson, followed by “Personal Training Time.” In that
session, kids are divided up into small groups of no
more than six to interact with their leader to review
the lesson and learn how to apply it to their own lives.
All first through sixth graders are welcome and the
cost is $25 per student. Payment options and scholarships are available. The church office can be contacted
