Planning Ahead
Condolences to the friends and family of the Karl
Smith who passed on October 8. Services to be
announced.
church@study (10:45am). We invite all adult
Sabbath Schools into the Sanctuary at 10:45am this
Sabbath as we spend an hour together as Church
Family, discussing the recent Annual Council at our
General Conference Headquarters. There will be
a time of report, and then time for conversation
and questions together. Destination and Journey
Sabbath Schools will meet in the Sanctuary. Next
week they will return to their usual locations.
Sabbath Rest is until 6:03pm on October 25. Next
Sabbath’s welcome is on October 31 at 5:56pm.
This Sabbath’s offering is for our Local
Church Budget.
Fellowship Luncheon. Visitors are invited to
potluck across the street in Sierra Vista Chapel
after church@9:30 and church@noon. All are
welcome. Members are invited to bring a dish.
Child Dedication. Chrystal and Cody
Madigan will dedicate their son Coady
Elias Killian Madigan, born October 27,
2013, to the Lord with Devo Kritzinger.
Food Friend-zy. Thank you to all of the wonderful
hosts who took students in this past week for Food
Friend-zy. We hosted over a 110 students! Mark your
calendars for our next event January 10.
Stuff the Bus. Coming on November 8. See the
insert for how you can give to Operation Safe House.
There are marked bins at each of the church exits
where items can be placed.
Fall Festival. Mark your calendars for November 9
from 4:00-7:00pm. Make sure to invite your friends,
family, and neighbors for an evening of fun for the
entire family, contests, hay rides, jumpers, live music,
and good eats!
Pie Baking Contest. Everyone is invited to
participate! The rules are that you are allowed to
submit one home baked pie per person.
Donations. We need pumpkin pies donated to
share for dessert. There is also a canned food drive
for Community Services. Bring your non-perishable
foods and place them at the entrance.
Research Study about motivation for physical
activity and physical activity levels needs individuals
between the ages of 25-44, who are currently not
physically active to participate. Do a 3 minute
screening at phdresearch2014.webs.com to see if

Good Science and Literal Bible: What Gives? A
discussion of the recent International Conference on
the Bible and Science, by six diverse thought leaders
including: Jim Walters, Leonard Brand, Paul Geim,
Maury Jackson, Suzanne Phillips, Richard Rice, and
