grade teacher at La Sierra Academy, who passed away
on January 29. A service will be held on February 22 at
10:00am in the Sanctuary.

who passed away on January 29. A private service was
held in Glendora on February 4.
A memorial service for Kathryn “Timi” Taylor, will
be held in the Sanctuary on February 14 at 4:00pm.

School meets in Sierra Vista Chapel featuring
“Chaplain Jim Clizbe, Chaplain for the Riverside
County Sheriff’s Department,” Jim Manning,
coordinator; Darrin Wright, lesson. This week in
Journey, Marcia Hull will continue our discussion of
Christ’s healing power in chapters 27 and 36 of The
Desire of Ages. Conversations is in Primary II Room.
This Sabbath’s offering is for our Local
Church Budget.
Fellowship Luncheon. Visitors are invited to
potluck across the street in Sierra Vista Chapel
after church@study and church@noon. All are
welcome. Members are invited to bring a dish.

Better Than 50 Game Afternoon in Sierra Vista
Chapel on February 12 at 4:00pm. Bring your favorite
game and a snack to share if you would like.
La Sierra University. “A Celebration of the Civil
Rights Movement” will be held in the Sanctuary
at 4:00pm this Sabbath, February 7. Speaking will
be Terrence Roberts, member of the Little Rock
Nine, students who desegregated Little Rock Nine
Central High School; Gloria Macias Harrison and
Marta Macías Brown, sisters who started El Chicano
newspaper as a form of community activism, and
music from the Civil Rights period sung by the choir
“Another Peace.”
