OUR APPROACH TO GOD

OUR APPROACH TO GOD
PRELUDE: “Rhosymedre, Llanfair”
Arr. Held
WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP (Responsively): Psalm 9:1-2
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
*SONGS OF PRAISE
*Sing to the King
Billy Foote and Charles Horne
Sing to the King Who is coming to reign.
Glory to Jesus, the Lamb that was slain.
Life and salvation His empire shall bring,
and joy to the nations, when Jesus is King.
Chorus: Come, let us sing a song,
a song declaring that we belong to Jesus;
He is all we need.
Life up a heart of praise.
Sing now with voices raised to Jesus;
Sing to the King.
For His returning we watch and we pray;
We will be ready the dawn of that day.
We’ll join in singing with all the redeemed,
‘cause Satan is vanquished and Jesus is King. (Chorus)

*Our God
Jesse Reeves, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Jonas Myrin
Water you turned into wine,
opened the eyes of the blind;
there's no one like you, none like You.
Chorus: Our God is greater, our God is stronger,
God you are higher than any other.
Our God is healer,
awesome in power, our God, our God.
Into the darkness You shine,
out of the ashes we rise;
there's no one like you, none like You. (Chorus)
And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us,
And if our God is with us, then what could stand against?
And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us,
And if our God is with us, then what could stand against?
(Chorus)
*Give Us Clean Hands
Charlie Hall
Chorus: So give us clean hands and give us pure hearts
Let us not lift our souls to another
And give us clean hands and give us pure hearts
Let us not lift our souls to another
Oh God let us be a generation that seeks
Who seeks Your face oh God of Jacob
Oh God let us be a generation that seeks
Who seeks Your face oh God of Jacob
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Responsively):
“O Lord, although we love you, we are not always so good at
living in that love.
We can be selfish and greedy
We can be unfair and unkind
We envy the good fortune of others
And fear to speak the truth.
Forgive us our sins, most holy and loving God, and
strengthen us to live in the grace of your presence,
pleasing you by what we say and what we think and what
we do. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE: Psalm 103:8, 12
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in
steadfast love. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he
removed our transgressions from us.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIVING: Psalm 1:1-3
Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked or
take the path that sinners walk or sit in the seat of scoffers. But
their delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law they meditate
day and night. They are like trees planted by streams of water,
which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither.
In all they do, they prosper.
