Miroslav Plevný, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, holds INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON THE TOPIC BUSINESS TRENDS 2014 ON 13 TH AND 14 TH NOVEMBER 2014 Dear colleagues, Faculty of Economics the University of West Bohemia takes the liberty of inviting you to the international scientific conference, whose objectives are: • • • • presentation of results of scientific and professional activities carried out by participants, meetings and discussions of academic staff, doctoral students and experts, networking in order to collaborate in research projects and publishing, and also to collaborate with company experts from different industry sectors, presentation of current results of the projects from operational programme Education for Competitiveness which are realised on the Faculty of Economics. doc. Dr. Ing. Miroslav Plevný Dean of the Faculty of Economics THE CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD IN THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS: 1. MARKETING AND MANAGEMENT IN CURRENT BUSINESS THEORY AND PRACTICE 2. USE OF QUANTITATIVE METHODS IN ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT 3. STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR MUNICIPALITIES AND REGIONS 4. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THEORY AND PRACTICE IN CONTEMPORARY UNIVERSITY EDUCATION Section 4 will be afoot as a panel discussion on the current topics between the experts from universities and practice. Results of doctoral students´ and young research assistants´ research work will be presented within the programme of Sections 1, 2 and 3. Accepted papers will be published in reviewed ISBN conference proceedings on CD. Selected papers from Sections 1, 2 and 3 will be published in the scientific journal of the Faculty of Economics called Business Trends.
