Preserve and Celebrate Our Skiing History Educate and Inspire Our Future WWW.WSSSM.ORG OFFICERS Dave Moffett, President 206 854 3626 [email protected] Thirty years ago Ancient Skiers founder Irv Pratt envisioned a ski museum for Washington. This will become a reality with the opening of WSSSM at the top of Snoqualmie Pass in the spring of 2015. The location is in a new commercial building currently under construction—a restaurant will be on one side and a brew-pub on the other side. The project includes townhomes, 12 of which are complete and 12 under construction. WSSSM will be a “story-telling” museum with artifact displays to supplement these stories. Highly regarded museum firms, Edquist Davis Exhibits (EDX) for design and Turner Exhibits for fabrication, have been retained to provide visitors with a memorable experience. Donations may be made on-line at www.wsssm.org. MISSION STATEMENT The Washington State Ski and Snowboard Museum will be a centrally located showcase to honor Washington’s ski and snowboard legends, preserve this state’s ski and snowboard history, educate visitors about this rich sports story and inspire future participation in Washington’s ski and snowboard opportunities by these visitors, their families, their friends and their communities.
