⇒7th & 8th Grade Spanish Class begins next week at Rosecrans. A letter from Ms. Mallet
went home with each student last week. That letter can also be found on School Speak.
Classes were delayed due to Terra Nova testing this week.
⇒School Pictures are here! Families who ordered school pictures will receive them today.
Teachers will hand out pictures to their students so please check with your child. If you do
not receive your pictures, please contact the office.
⇒Phone System We were hoping there would not be any glitches to our new phone
system but some have already found that is not true! Please be patient as our provider
remedies the problems.
⇒Conference Scheduling K – 5 and 6 – 8 conference scheduling forms are coming home
today. Please note that the forms will be dated by the school office as they are received so
encourage your child to turn them in to their teacher. Please return your request no later
than Monday.

⇒ Report cards will be distributed to students this Friday. Please sign and return the
envelope so that we know that you have received it. You may keep the paper copy of the
report card.
⇒Halloween Dance Fun will be had this Saturday night at our always popular PTC
Halloween Party/Dance! Save a few dollars by registering early!
⇒ Cafeteria Request If you receive a reminder slip or a phone call that your child owes for
lunch, please pay promptly. If you are not sure where you stand on payment, please call
Patty at the Middle School or Vicki at the Elementary. Also, if your child wants to purchase
an extra side or entrée, they can use an “extras” ticket. An “extras” ticket is $10 and is
divided into 20‐50cent increments and kept in the cafeteria for their use.
⇒Terra Nova Testing continues this week for students in grades 3 – 8. Please encourage
your child to do their best.
⇒ Spirit Dress Down Day‐Spirit Shop Tomorrow is a Spirit Dress Down Day for $1.00.
Because it’s a spirit day, students who choose to dress down must wear our school colors;
red, black and/or white. The Spirit Shop will be open Friday during the lunch hour. A list
of items for sale is included in your envelope today. No bake sale!
⇒ Board of Directors Meeting, Monday Oct. 27th at 7:00pm Come vote for the candidate
you think would best represent our Catholic Schools!! The board will also give a report
about our schools. The meeting will be held at Rosecrans High School.
⇒ Wondering Which Bishop Alumni Is Coming Home for Thanksgiving??? Save the date
and come to the Alumni Social at the Knights of Columbus on Friday evening after
Thanksgiving. See today’s flyer for more information and spread the word!!
⇒Adornetto’s Fundraiser The Rosecrans Football team will hold a fundraiser at
Adornetto’s next Tuesday from 4‐10pm. 15% of dining in and 100% of tips will benefit the
football team. Come have dinner and support the Bishops!
⇒CAR RAFFLE The annual Catholic Schools Car Raffle has kicked off. Please see today’s
flyer for information to purchase your ticket!
⇒RHS Soccer‐ Cross Country Pep Rally The Bishops are hoping for a District championship
in both boys and girls Soccer as well as Cross Country!! Come cheer them on to victory at
a pep rally this Friday after school dismissal. (2:45pm)

Proceeds from the Halloween/Harvest Dance benefit the Parent Teacher Community (PTC). The proceeds
are used to fund student programs, activities, and to provide improvements to our schools.

Catholic Schools of Zanesville
Dear Friends,
The 3rd Annual Catholic Schools of Zanesville Car Raffle has begun. This car raffle will help the schools sustain their
financial viability. Last year this raffle helped many families with tuition costs and the schools were able to improve
educational programs and technology.
The goal of this raffle is for our community to sell 2500 tickets by February, 2015. Each ticket will cost $50.00 and can
be sold anywhere as the winner does not need to be present to win. The Grand Prize of this raffle will be $25,000 towards
the purchase of a car from McHugh's Dodge Jeep of Zanesville, with an alternate cash option of $20,000 available in lieu
of the car. The final drawing will be held at a Rosecrans High School home basketball game during the month of
February.
In addition, ten $500 drawings will be held, one for every 250 tickets sold. Tickets will be re-entered after each drawing;
therefore one ticket will be eligible for all ten drawings plus the grand prize. We are currently working on some new
exciting incentives for selling as well.
Tickets will be available at all school offices, through the mail or on the Rosecrans High School website,
www.rosecrans.cdeducation.org. There is an order form you can fill out on the back of this letter and send in as well for
your convenience. Your tickets will then be mailed to you promptly. If you have any questions, please call

You need not be present to win and you must be at least 18 years old to enter. Winner assumes all applicable license fees, delivery
fees, state and federal taxes over $25,000 for the car option and all taxes on the $500 or $20,000 cash options. No other substitutions
of the offered prizes will be made.
Bishop Fenwick/Bishop Rosecrans reserves the right to convert the raffle to a percentage cash drawing if less than 2,500 tickets are
sold. All proceeds to benefit Bishop Rosecrans and Bishop Fenwick schools.

Conferences will be divided into 15-minute sessions. Please note the time you prefer and we will
try to accommodate your request.
6th – 8th grade parents/guardians may meet with up to two (2) teachers. If you would
like to meet with more than two teachers, please make that note below and you will be scheduled if
there are any openings. Those that cannot be scheduled will be contacted by the teacher to
schedule a conference on a non-conference day. These conferences slips will be dated as received
and scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.
