The postholder is required to administer processes efficiently, consistently and to a high standard, according to agreed service levels and deadlines, and to respond effectively and consistently to queries from applicants and colleagues across the University. Responsibilities You are required to: 1. Provide administrative and clerical support during the recruitment process from post approval through to start date of designated vacancies, working to a high level of consistency and quality in accordance with agreed service standards. 2. Deal effectively and efficiently with enquiries from customers of the service, including the monitoring of generic HR Enquiries email inboxes. 3. Provide assistance and support for multiple vacancy recruitment campaigns, to include those of a high profile nature. 4. Develop methods of communication in the form of letters, standard emails etc., to contribute to and assist in our consistent approach to our customers. 5. Input to and maintain accurate and up to date tracking and monitoring systems. 6. Adhere to established administrative processes, procedures, and associated in-house guidance notes. 7. Input data to the HR Information System and other software packages accurately and in accordance with deadlines, providing standard data and management information as required. 8. Open, date stamp and distribute post for the HR Recruitment and Operations Team. 9. Arrange meetings and appointments, travel and hospitality/facilities as appropriate. Issuing agendas and preparing paperwork as instructed. 10. Maintain effective manual and automated filing and office systems. 10. As a member of our HR Recruitment Services Team provide support to recruitment and other HR related projects, new initiatives, policy development etc. 11. Maintain effective and productive working relationships across the HR team to support the delivery of a seamless, customer focused service to managers and staff across the University. 12. Engage in own personal and professional development, maintaining up to date knowledge of HR practice and developing a range of effective behaviours and skills. Terms & Conditions Terms & Conditions of Service are as determined by the Vice-Chancellor for Support staff (within a framework set by the Board of Governors), and will have regard to any national recommendations arising from negotiations between the Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA), and the recognised trade unions in so far as these are adopted by the Board / Vice-Chancellor. Salary is currently within Grade 2 (£16,577 - £19,632). On appointment staff will normally be placed on the first point of the substantive grade for the post. Appointment above this will only be on an exceptional basis and subject to approval in line with our University’s Pay Policy. Annual leave entitlement begins at 26 days. Service related leave can be accrued over three years up to 29 days in total.
