Registration
This educational activity will include topics focused on improvement
of obtaining echo images, appropriate utilization of contrast, how to
recognize serious medication conditions using echocardiography,
gain knowledge in evaluating complex patients with assist devices
and review the appropriate use criteria for echocardiography in
specific clinical situations. The knowledge gained will help with
patient centered decision making and influence treatment decisions.

Target audience
Physicians in the specialties of cardiology, family medicine, general
medicine, residents, fellows and sonographers.

Determine the appropriate use of echo contrast when indicated
Review challenges of complications of myocardial infarction (MI)
Identify how to use (transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and
transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) for MI complication
detection
Apply echocardiography to guide early intervention in structural
heart disease complication cases
Review challenges in evaluating left ventricle assist device
(LAVD) and Impella by imaging
Define proper echo protocols
Identify assist device complications with echocardiography
