The Hurricane Prayer
Father, all the elements of nature obey your
commands. Protect us, and all your people
during this season of storms and hurricanes.
Calm our fears, and help us to prepare our
hearts - as well as our homes. Help us to see
you in all we may encounter, and help us to
minister to each other in your name.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Important Parishioner Information
Please remember to use your Offertory envelopes. There are always extra envelopes available from
the ushers in the back of the church should have forgotten yours or if you have not received them.
You must use your envelopes if you plan to be a sponsor, godparent, get a price reduction at a
Catholic School, or enroll your children in Religious Education. It is the Church, not just this
parish, which insists that signs of a good faith commitment be present on these occasions. You must
be able to demonstrate that you are a practicing Catholic. While the parish depends on the financial support of
its parishioners, it’s not the amount of the donation but the fact that you are attending Mass and doing what
you are able to contribute to the support of the Church. Being a registered member of our parish also enables
us to provide you with a record of your contributions for tax purposes at the end of the year. Thank You for
your support, we are very blessed!

The Road to Peace Bereavement Group
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has a bereavement group.
This group allows those who have lost a loved
one a place to talk to someone who is going
through what you are feeling. The group is a safe
place where we, who are grieving, can come together
and share the pain, sorrow and memories. In this way,
we can begin the healing process and move on with
our lives. Call Florence at 954-755-9065 for more
information. The Bereavement Group meets on
Monday at 7 pm in room 209 of the Religious
Education Building.

November 9, 2014 ~ GOD’S WORD TODAY
On one of Rome’s seven hills stands the cathedral church of the Diocese of Rome, the Basilica of
Saint John Lateran. Since this church is the pope’s diocesan cathedral, it is significant in the history
of Catholicism. Attached to the basilica is a large baptistry, whose inscription reminds us of our
universal call to holiness: “Think not your sins too many or too great: birth in this stream is birth to holiness.”
As we celebrate the commemoration of the dedication of this great church, let us be one with all who have
been born to new life in the waters of Holy Baptism. From Saint Margaret Sunday Missal, copyright © J. S. Paluch Company
