Subsea Technology Oil and Gas is one of the most advanced industries in the word and
often compared to Space Industry
42,000 persons are employed in the Norwegian oil and gas industry which have an yearly
turnover at 120 billion NOK
Denmark oil and gas industry: 16,000 employed and turnover in 2013 was 70 billion DKK
Norway is world leading provider of Subsea Technology and are large scale purchaser
(buyer) of Subsea Technology
50% of Norwegian Oil and Gas production is today extracted from subsea fields
This is expected increasing to 60% before 2020
Norway Oil and Gas is expecting to invest yearly 200 billion NOK the coming
5 years. Totally 1,000 billion NOK over 5 years
Of this 10 billion NOK is expected to be invested yearly at Subsea Equipment. Totally 50
billion NOK over 5 years
