2014 TAX CREDIT DONATION FORM Choose where your taxes go and support CAVIAT students! Arizona tax law (ARS §43-1089.01) allows taxpayers a tax credit for donations that benefit students in public schools. That’s not just a deduction, it’s a tax credit, which means it reduces what you owe in state taxes, dollar for dollar. Just send a donation to CAVIAT in support of one of our many activities. It must be postmarked by December 31, 2014. We will send you a receipt for your records. Then when you fill out your Arizona State taxes you can subtract your donation from what you owe in taxes. Use Form 322 to deduct your contribution. By law, only donations to extracurricular activities that charge a fee qualify for the tax credit. Donations must be made to the CAVIAT School District and directed toward a specific activity. You may also specify your donation as a contribution to be used where the need is greatest. Extracurricular activities include taking field trips, bringing in guest speakers, participating in competitions and attending important events within the industry. Tax credit limits Up to $400 for married couples filing jointly or Up to $200 for a single individual, head of household or married couple filing separately The amount of the donation you make does not have to be for the maximum allowed. You can make a difference with even $50, $75 or $100. Tax credit donations are not refundable by CAVIAT. IT’S AS EASY AS 1-2-3 1.
