Regional Tennis Network
The Loddon Campaspe Regional Tennis Network is a collective of representatives from affiliated tennis clubs across
the Loddon Campaspe Region. The Network is a sub group of Tennis Victoria and is supported to act as a conduit
between Tennis Victoria and the region on tennis issues affecting the region.
Local Government Areas covered in the Loddon Campaspe tennis region include: Shire of Campaspe, City of
Greater Bendigo, Gannawarra Shire, Loddon Shire, Macedon Ranges Shire & Mount Alexander Shire.
The Regional Tennis Network meets to discuss and plan regional activities, such as:
The Coordination of the Junior Masters Series;
Selection for Tennis Victoria Regional Representative teams;
The Hosting of Tennis Victoria Programs and Courses ;
The Regional Tennis Network website provides up-to-date information regarding tennis in the Loddon Campaspe

Junior Masters Series
The Loddon Campaspe Regional Tennis Network has coordinated the Junior Masters Series for the past nine years.
The aim of the series is to:
Increase junior participation opportunities throughout the region;
Provide a skill development pathway for junior players to participate at Local, Association, Regional and
Squad level;
Provide an opportunity to strengthen links between tennis clubs across the region.
Tournament Series:
The series consists of tournaments held across the region between October to March. Tournaments are for
participants aged 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under and 17 & under. Previous tournaments have been hosted by
Rich River, South Bendigo, Kerang, Boort Lawn, Bendigo Lawn, Spring Gully & Barham Lawn Tennis Clubs and
Castlemaine & District Tennis Association.
Progressive Points System:
A points system will operate to determine the Junior Masters of each age group. Prizes will be presented to each
Junior Master age group winner as recognition of their achievements.
Tennis Victoria Regional Cups
The Junior Masters Series will also provide as a selection guide for all Loddon Campaspe 2015 Regional Cup
teams, including the Fitzgerald Cup, Foundation Cup, Wayne Arthurs Cup, Alicia Molik Cup, Ambassadors Cup,
Country Cup and Tennis Victoria Inter-Regionals.
Players for the Association/Regional Challenge, held in February/March 2015, will be an automatic
selection.
Players note that to be eligible for selection in any of the above teams, you MUST have played a MINIMUM OF 3
Junior Masters Series events in the 2014/15 calendar. Players who do not support these events will not be eligible
for our regional teams.

Tennis Australia Player / Participant Code of Conduct
As a participant in the Junior Masters Tennis Series you must meet the following Tennis Australia requirements in
regards to your conduct during this event:
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of fellow players, coaches, officials and spectators;
Refrain from conduct which could be regarded as sexual or other harassment towards fellow players and
coaches;
Respect the talent, potential and development of fellow squad players and competitors;
Care and respect the equipment provided to you as part of your program;
Be frank and honest with your coach concerning illness and injury and your ability to train fully within the
program requirements;
Conduct yourself in a professional manner relating to language, temper and punctuality;
Maintain high personal behaviour standards at all times;
Abide by the rules and respect the decision of umpire, match referee or other adjudicator, making all
appeals through formal process and respecting the final decision;
Be honest in your attitude and preparation to training. Work equally hard for yourself and your team/crew;
Cooperate with coaches and staff in development of programs to adequately prepare you for competition at
the highest level.
Tennis Australia Parent / Guardian Code of Conduct
As a parent / guardian of a participant in the Junior Masters Tennis Series you must meet the following
requirements in regard to your conduct during this event:
Treat your child the same irrespective of them winning or losing;
Remember that your child plays tennis for their enjoyment, not yours;
Try to have fun when you are around your children at competitions. Well-directed humour can be a great de
-stressor;
Look relaxed, calm and positive on the sidelines;
Make friends with other parents at competitions;
Get involved in appropriate ways, if your child or coach behaves in unacceptable ways during competitions;
Let the coach do the coaching;
Understand that children will benefit from a break sometimes and that involvement in other sports is okay;
Be there when the child performs poorly. Be an understanding listener rather than a critic, judge and/or fixer;
Be prepared to give your child some space so that he/she can grow and develop as an independent person;
Let your child know that your love for them is not associated with their sporting performances;
Communicate with your child and ask them how they are really feeling about their sport and about
competing in particular;
Occasionally let your child compete without you being there and hovering over them;
Emphasise the good things your child did in preparing for and during the match/tournament;
Try to avoid:
Saying “We’re playing today”. Instead say “you’re playing today”. Give your child credit for accepting the
responsibility of performing;
Getting too pushy or believe that you are indispensable. Let the coach do the coaching;
Living through your child’s performances;
Turning away when your child performs;
Turning away when your child's behaviour is unsportsmanlike;
Telling your child what he/she did wrong after a tough match;
Making enemies with your child’s opponents or family during a match/tournament;
Making your child feel guilty by reminding them about all the time, money and sacrifices you are making for
his or her sport;
Thinking of your child’s sporting performance as an investment for which you expect a return;
Badgering, harassing or using sarcasm to motivate your child;
Comparing your child’s performance with those of other children;
Forcing your child to go to training, if they are sick of training, find out why and discuss it with them.

Singles.
Entry Fee:
$15.00 per player per tournament.
($2 from each entry is donated to the Loddon Campaspe Regional Tennis Network to assist in
subsidising the Loddon Campaspe 2014/15 Regional Cup teams).
Entries:
Entries for each tournament will be accepted via - online, mail, email, phone & fax (at clubs’
discretion).
* If entering via phone, a signed entry form must be completed and submitted on the day of the
tournament along with payment or players will not be able to compete.
* If entering via email, entry forms may be scanned and emailed to Tournament Directors and
payment must be made when registering on the day. Alternatively a signed entry form must
be completed and submitted on the day of the tournament along with payment or players will
not be able to compete.
Signatures:
Both a player and Parent/Guardian signature must appear on the entry form to demonstrate
that tournament conditions and Player / Parent Code of Conduct have been agreed to and
that permission is being granted for Tournament Directors to take and use photos of players
for promotional purposes.
Point System: A point system will operate to determine the Junior Master of each age group.
Withdrawals: Any player who has to withdraw prior to the event MUST notify the Tournament Director(s).
Disputes:
Any disputes and grievances will need to be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the
Loddon Campaspe Regional Tennis Council.
Trophies:
Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners up of each age group. If players have
entered a tournament but their age group is disbanded, trophies will not be awarded.
Rescheduled: Every attempt will be made to reschedule a tournament if initially cancelled due to weather
conditions.
