Food for Sale
A limited number of pierogies and stuffed cabbages will be
sold after the Masses on Sunday, November 9. Pierogies will
be sold for $9.00/dozen and stuffed cabbages for $9.00/half
dozen. These will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Young Adult Group
Join with young adults from the region, ages 18-35, to meet
for fellowship and faith-sharing on Sunday evening, November
9, at 7:00 PM at St. Margaret Mary Church in the Freude Room.

Money Counters
St. Joseph Parish is in need of money counters. If interested,
please call the parish office to set up a training session with

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The regular 2-hour sessions on Tuesday, November
11, are cancelled; Sessions will resume on Thursday,
November 13, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.
Catechist Assistants are needed for Catechesis of
the Good Shepherd on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 PM-7:00
PM. Police clearances required. If you are able to help, please

Catholic Daughters of America Court #860 New Kensington
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 12, at
7:00 PM in Room B-2 in St. Margaret Mary Hall. Pie orders
are due November 7, with pickup on meeting night. Pies are
$10 each. All members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Food for Families
Knights of Columbus are collecting nonperishable and non-expired food products for the
local food pantry at St. Joseph Church. Items
most in need are peanut butter, jelly, canned
meats, canned fruits and vegetables, tuna fish, spaghetti
sauce and soups. Your generosity to those in need is greatly
appreciated.
Attention All St. Joseph Cookie Bakers!
We asked and the parishioners of St. Joseph Church have responded! The St. Joseph monthly cookie sale will resume in
January, 2015. If you have signed up to
bake or sell, more information will be coming
your after the holiday season.

MQA 3rd Annual Salute to Our Veterans
The Performing Arts Department at Mary Queen of Apostles
School will be honoring our veterans with a special program on
Sunday, November 9, at 6:00 PM in the gym at the Leishman
Avenue site. The MQA Band and Chorus will be performing
selections for our veterans. Students of the school will also be
presenting patriotic readings and poetry.
A social will follow the presentation as a small token of appreciation. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. A “free-will” offering will be taken to benefit our local branch of the Disabled
American Veterans.
We hope to see all of you there and thank all veterans for their
service.
Share the Word Bible Study
Share the Word Adult Bible Study meets on
Monday afternoons at St. Mary Parish from 1:00
PM-3:00 PM in the Religion Center. All are welcome to join us
as we read and discuss the upcoming Sunday Mass readings.
If you need a Bible, one will be provided. Registration is not necessary. Next session: November 10
Veteran’s Day
In observance of Veteran’s Day, the parish offices will be
closed Tuesday, November 11. Both offices will re-open on
Wednesday, November 12.
St. Joseph St. Vincent de Paul Society Meeting Change
Due to the Veterans Day holiday, the next meeting of the St.
Joseph St. Vincent de Paul Society will be held on Tuesday,
November 18, at 2:00 PM, in the Conference Room. New
members are always welcome. If you are interested in joining
this group, please contact the parish office.

B-I-N-G-O - Bring Your Daubers!
St. Mary Holy Name Society is hosting a bingo on
Sunday, November 16, from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM in
Friendship Hall. Please note the earlier time
because of the change to Eastern Standard
Time. Games will be basic bingo. Cost is 50 cents per card with
winnings split 50/50.
Final game - $1.00 - full card - winner take all. To be eligible
to win full card, winner must have played 10 previous
games. Must be 18 years of age to play. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
All proceeds benefit St. Mary Church projects and needs.
