 SENIORS: The deadline to order your cap and gown for graduation is DECEMBER
1st! If you plan on walking in the graduation ceremony, get your order in now. Order
forms are available in each house office and on the THS website under the graduation
tab. The price will go up after December 1st.
 Ready-Set-Get Creative! The theme for this years’ REFLECTIONS PROGRAM is
“The world would be a better place if…”. Student entry forms can be found at THS
website under the PTSA tab or in the main office. The deadline for submissions is

 REMINDER: Our next ADVISORY DAY is Wednesday, November 12th.
 There will be a SELF club meeting next Monday, November 10th in room B-6. We
will be assembling Thankful treats-please bring in a bag of candy! All new members
are welcome.
 There will be a ROBOTICS TEAM MEETING on Wednesday and Thursday in Room
A-25.
 THE SIGRID SCHULTZ SCHOLARSHIP FOR FUTURE JOURNALISTS – Two
$6,000 four year scholarships will be awarded in academic year 2015-2016 to two high
school seniors who matriculate at Central Connecticut State University, and pursue
undergraduate degrees in journalism. [email protected] Questions? Please

16, 2015.
 There will be a RED CROSS CLUB meeting on Wednesday, November 12th, after
school in Room B-1.
 There will be an informational meeting for all students interested in BOYS
SWIMMING/DIVING after school TODAY in the Athletic Conference Room, followed
by a meeting at the Hillcrest pool.
 INTERACT members who were not able to attend our meeting Monday, please see
Mrs. Cranston in B-House Guidance, if you are interested in being a STEP tutor this
year. Please return all STEP forms directly to Mrs. Cranston, as soon as you have
completed them.
 KEY CLUB: There will be a meeting after school on Wednesday, November 12th in
Room B-18.
 KEY CLUB: Food Drive on November 22nd at Stop & Shop, Trumbull, from 9-3. We
need volunteers! See Mrs. McFarland in Room B-18 to sign up for a 2 hour shift.
 CULTURAL DIVERSITY CLUB- Come join the fun and learn about different
histories and heritages from around the world. Taste new foods, meet new people. The
Cultural Diversity Club will be meeting on November 13th in the College and Career
Center at 2:30 pm. Hope to see you there.
 There will be a brief, preliminary LATIN CLUB meeting after school TODAY in Room
C-35. If you can’t come please see Mr. Brust in C-35 prior to that day.
 THE CLOTHESLINE PROJECT – This is INTERACT’S fifth year of collaboration
with the Center for Family Justice, Trumbull Rotary, The Trumbull Library and the
Trumbull Women’s Club to promote domestic violence awareness in the community.
The project began in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women and families.
Facts regarding domestic abuse: 1 in 4 women will experience physical abuse in their
lifetime, 1 in 3 teens report knowing a friend or peer who has been abused by a
partner, 85% of victims of abuse are women and most incidents of abuse go
unreported. For more information or support, stop by our table during lunch waves!

 The 2014 Fall Trumbull High School Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on
Thursday, November 20, 2014. All appointments for afternoon or evening conference
must be made on line at www.ths.schoolappointments.com beginning at 6:00 am on
Monday, October 27, 2014 and ending at 6:00 am on Monday, November 17, 2014.

 THE DRIVER’S LICENSE ROAD TEST is available at Trumbull High School
scheduled by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Applicants need to have completed all
requirements, by the test date, to be eligible. Fees are $75.00 payable to THS Driver
Education. A minimum of 2 hours behind the wheel instruction at THS @ $45.00 per
hour.
$40 payable to the DMV if applicant previously failed the road test.
Available dates as of October27, 2014 are:
January 7th and 28th
February 4th and 18th
March 4th and 18th
Applications for the Road Test are available in A House Office and outside the
Continuing Education Office. All paper work must be complete before the appointment
can be confirmed. All behind the wheel instruction needs to be completed by the test
date. Plan ahead.
