MONTHLYANOINTINGAFTERMASS It is cold and flu season again. We have to face the fact and get ready for winter. Beginning on the 1st Saturday in November and on the first Saturday of each month during the winter months, we will be offering the Sacrament of Sick, Holy Anointing after the 4:00 pm Mass. Immediately following the 4:00 pm Mass, please come up to the front pews if you would like to receive the Sacrament. Anyone who is sick in body, mind or spirit is eligible to receive the Sacrament of the sick. Also, according to the Code of Canon Law, all who are in danger of death may receive the Sacrament. The Code defines, in "danger of death" as 60 years of age or older. (Don't blame me I didn't write the code.) See you after the 4:00 pm Mass on the 1st of each month to be anointed with the Sacrament of the Sick. Fr. That is a Sign that we need “kids of all ages” to bring the Gifts to the Altar. Please just “take our fish” and let an Usher know you will bring the Gifts to the Altar. This will let everyone know that someone is already set to bring the Gifts to the Altar. When you go back to get the Gifts, please be sure to return our Fish! This is especially a great idea for our young people who are preparing to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation this year, as they can play another important role and be more actively involved in the Celebration of the Mass. Please check out our website for more information about what’s happening in our school. stmaryschoolmelrose.org PTOMEETING Join us at our next PTO meeting on Wednesday, November 12th at 7:30 in the Parish Center.
