Judging rules for Pro – Am & Hobby System:
1. All competitions are open competitions and couples can enter within the boundaries of age-groups and
their class level.
2. Closed marking is obligatory in competitions.
3. The Skating System or Points System shall be employed.
4. The chairman shall decide the number of couples to be recalled, provided that at least 50% of the participating
couples shall be recalled to the next round, excluding qualifying heats and the final.
5. No more than six (6) couples should participate in the final of a competition, but if more than 6 couples qualify
according to the Skating system, the Chairman shall decide on the number of participants in the final.
6. In finals if the Skating System is used the individual adjudicators shall place the couples in order of merit. "1" is
the best place marking. The same placing must not be given to more than one couple.
7. In finals if the Points System is used the individual adjudicators shall give for the couple individual mark points
from "1" to “6” where the “6” is the best marking. The same marking could be given to more than one couple.
8. The organizer must display marking sheets at the finish of the festival and decide about rewarding system.
9. If the Points System is used it is recommended to use following rewarding system:
Gold medal – minimum 80 % of judgings marking points
Silver medal – minimum 60 % of judgings marking points
Bronze medal – minimum 40 % of judgings marking points
