The programs listed above may pay for all or a part of a person’s health insurance premium. To be eligible for a MHCP plan, individuals must meet income guidelines along with program specific requirements. Examples of other requirements include, but are not requirements for all five MHCP plans include: Household size Can’t afford health insurance offered through your job Don’t have insurance because you’re unemployed Pregnancy, disability Chronic condition and need help paying for care and services so you can continue living in your home Need help paying for care in a nursing home, hospital or other medical facility Have Medicare and need help paying the premiums, or you need services that aren’t covered by Medicare Don’t have insurance for a variety of other reasons This information is made available by Blue Plus, HealthPartners, Medica and UCare.
