A fund-raiser for Jill Meade will be held on Saturday, November 22nd from 3 to 6 p.m. at Courtyard by
Marriott Keene at 75 Railroad Street. The donation is
$5 per person at the door. Additional donations are
welcome. All proceeds will benefit her. Join in for
an afternoon to show support and raise money for
a worthy cause.
Meade was recently diagnosed with liver cancer.
She resides with her parents and nephew in Marlow.
Meade has been employed at the Courtyard by Marriott Keene for over four years. Due to her illness,
she is no longer able to work and has mounting bills,
along with daily needs, and makes numerous trips
to Lebanon for chemotherapy.
The event includes light hors d’oeuvres, a cash
bar, raffles, and a silent auction, which includes
Patriots’ tickets.

The First Universalist Church of
West Chesterfield will hold its 34th
Annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday,
November 22nd from 9 a.m. until 2
p.m. at the church, located at 10 Main
Street.
The annual Holiday Bazaar serves
as one of the primary fund-raisers for
this historic country church. All items
for sale at the bazaar are handmade or
decorated by congregation members,
including knitted scarves, mittens, hats,
and sweaters, children’s toys, holiday
ornaments, baked goods, and many
more decorative and useful items. In
addition, the church will have a raffle
for a hand-stitched quilt donated by a
local artisan.
The First Universalist Church of
West Chesterfield has been a part of
Chesterfield history for over 200 years
and remains the only church serving
West Chesterfield. The 1830 Greek
Revival building remains essentially
unchanged from its original state and
continues to host Sunday worship services from Easter through Christmas.
As always, donations of baked
goods are appreciated and will be accepted at the church beginning at 8:30
a.m. the morning of the bazaar. More
